The Pittsburgh Steelers are hiring former New York Jets wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni for the same position, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Azzanni interviewed with the Steelers earlier in the week as one of several assistant coaches the team brought in as candidates. After the departure of Frisman Jackson, the team began searching for a new hire as a wide receivers coach. That hire will now be Azzanni.

Azzani was the Jets’ wide recievers coach in 2023 and held the same title with the Denver Broncos from 2018-2022. He also coached the Chicago Bears’ wide receiver room in 2017.

I don’t think so. He probably just doesn’t have the experience these guys are looking for or maybe he didn’t even want to.
I can't find links to support it, but I feel like Hines was pretty critical of how AB was handled several years ago.

Do we know if Hines is any good at coaching? It would be awesome if he was. But I’m wondering if this offense could benefit from a coaching staff of solid professionals with a track record.
The players certainly don’t have experience.
He definitely doesn’t have a long list of credentials. Time with Steelers as coach, Jets, college and USFL head coach.
Has that connection to the team and the mentality and some coaching experience but probably not nearly the amount that would make him the best hire.

He either played college WR (94-98) or has coached WRs (99-present) for the past 29 years, and he's only 47. This has the appearance of a good hire.

Ryan Clark was also very critical of AB things, and voiced his concerns well before the train wreck.
