Never heard of the 101 Awards.
PFWA gave Myles Garrett the DPOY award. So that likely pretty much seals it that Garrett will indeed win the award which is voted on by the associated press(AP). TJ really needed to hit the 20+ sack mark to change the narrative, as Myles Garrett basically won it the first few weeks of the season.
In the last 10 years, PFWA only had one player(Calais Campbell, 17') they selected for DPOY that did not go on to win the award(Aaron Donald).

Garrett - Last 6 games of the season: 15 tackles, 2 assists, ONE SACK...including a no show in the playoffs.
Watt - Last 6 games of the season: 27 tackles, 10 assists, 5.5 Sacks, 1 FF...missed playoffs due to injury.
Parsons - Last 6 games of season: 24 tackles, 10 assists, 2.5 Sacks...including a no show in the playoffs.
Crosby - Last 6 games of the season: 25 tackles, 8 assists, 4 sacks, 1 FF...no playoffs.
I mean if anyone went into a shell the last third of the season, it was Garrett...but I'm sure it was because of all the holds, double and triple teams he faced...
Herbig had more sacks in his last 7 games than participation trophy winnr Myles Garrett.

Garrett was the DPOY candidate from the get go and nothing short of injury was going to change that. Any of the other 4 nominees was a better option than Garrett. I expect that Parsons will be awarded DPOY in August 2024.
Stefanski stumbled into the “Coach of the Year” award after the QB he stuck with got injured and they had to panic. That should’ve been handed on a gold platter to Demeco Ryans.
Micah Parsons: Myles Garrett’s presence is way more dominant than T.J. Watt

When Myles Garrett won defensive player of the year on Thursday night at NFL Honors, Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons not only congratulated the Browns edge rusher, but he defended him from criticism. Most of the criticism came from Steelers fans, whose own edge rusher, T.J. Watt, finished second despite leading the league in sacks.
Parsons continued to defend Garrett on Friday and implied that Watt is a sore loser.

I have zero problem with a coach that was forced to use 5 different QBs during a season and still making the playoffs winning Coach of the Year.
I would also have zero problem with a rookie head coach winning his division and winning a playoff game with a rookie QB, winning Coach of the Year.
TJ Watt IS the DPOY whether the voters want to acknowledge the fact or not.
I would have voted Baker Mayfield as Comeback Player of the Year.
Those pash run win stats are totally arbitrary and does NOT necessarily mean that there’s a pass rush or hurry involved. There’s no end result to that statistic other than the guy may have gotten around the first guy in 2-3 seconds.
Also, and correct me if I am wrong, since Watt lines up outside, when they use a back, TE or WR to chip or help block Watt, that doesn’t count as an official Double Team because it’s not two linemen. So when Parsons stunt to the inside, which he does a lot, that naturally generates more double teams and pads the stats. Since Watt lines up way outside at times, he doesn’t get “official” double teams.
Won't matter who wins the Super Bowl, the true winner is which team had the best 3rd down conversion rate!
