I think what the Steelers need on defense is a season where the injury bug gets avoided. Going into the last quarter of the season the Steelers defensive roster was mostly on IR.

Our defense was pretty good in the first half of the season, then we lost 20 ILBs and it went to crap (I am pretty sure the guys we ended the season with were all bagging groceries to start the year). Even without Cam, they won the majority of our games. Getting help across from JPJ is probably the biggest need because our ILBs healthy were fine. We do need to start to look for replacing Heyward, but he isn’t done yet, probably 2 more years. We are really just a couple pieces from really contending (all depends on QB play/improvement).
If I’m Rooney & Tomlin, I’m swooping in and stealing Vic Fangio from the Eagles before they even have a chance to get him in their building…
