At this point I'm just happy he probably won't need surgery.

The team will probably have to win a few games to even think about coming back, but at least he will be ready to go next season at 100%.

Grade 3 MCL sprain, usually takes 6 weeks after googling it. He definitely won't be playing next week if we play. Sucks big time!!

Technically he could play with a brace, but he would risk a worse injury and he wouldn’t have that burst that gets sacks nor be as disruptive. I had the same injury before (was on a semi-pro paintball team) and I could play with a brace, but cutting and bursts were limited by pain and movement was restricted, so probably not worth it for a 50% TJ.
