If someone predicted only three more playoff wins on the forum after the Packers Super Bowl Loss - no one would believe it. Noll is a cut above almost every coach. He's top 3 at least, and better than Belicheat.

Every single NFL coach hires his friends as coaches. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

That doesn't even count the "nepo" hires because someone shares the same last name as their old man and said old man gave so and so a break...

And the most recent time where coaches did NOT hire friends and known colleagues was when ownership pushed for it in Carolina and that got described as "the Hunger Games".

Another example was the NYG coaching staff which was rumored to be splitting the team until the new new back-up QB started winning.

I get that some/several coaches that have cycled through Pittsburgh have been bad. But to put it out that Tomlin hires differently than any other coach in the league is not realistic.

But why would you put all those failures on just Mike Tomlin? Some of those teams were just outclassed by a better team. We just were not the best team that game or season.

When you have the talent and get underwhelming results the coaching is the most probable cause and Tomlin runs the coaching staff and is responsible for making sure the team is prepared. Those of us that followed the team in the 80’s and most of the 90’s didn’t complain, we new what we had and accepted it, but 2011 to 2021, that was falling short and fans have every damn right to complain
