THE STANDARD.
I never really cared about this stat but it's impressive nonetheless.
Still cracks me up at how mad people get at this stat.
It's quite embarrassing that there are people that cannot see that as being successful.
What it really is, and this will probably be hard for some to hear, that they are not angry because Tomlin isn't winning, they are mad because he is not winning enough for them to salve their own egos. They are not putting the teams interest ahead of their own.
And I am thankful that the Steelers do not flinch at the smallest signs of adversity and that they do not run this organization the way some fans feel it ought to be run.
This isn't a team that chases Super Bowls and it never will be.
That is why they are more successful than any other franchise over the last 50 years.
They are the tortoise, not the hare.
Congrats coach Mike, but you could’ve been 11-5 or 12-4 right now if you’d thought twice about putting Mitch in.
A playoff win would be nice for a change
Previous years Tomlin critics would say it was all Ben. If it weren't for Ben, Tomlin would be having losing season. Just wait until Ben retires, then we'll see the real Mike Tomlin.
When I think about all the injuries this team had, calling guys off of practice squads and off of their couches to come start and without a franchise QB, I think it's been an accomplishment for him not to have had a losing season this year.
Now let's get a playoff win...
Here’s the problem for 2024:
This looks like a real offense. I’d be willing to bet that Tomlin keeps the offense status quo and lets the duo make their adjustments going into 2024…
Total Copium.
Name one organization that would be envious of the Steelers and their "excellence".
They just finished behind the Browns for the first time in 34 years and are in verge of missing the playoffs again if things don't line up their way in the final week. Yet again.
That’s not much consolation,
And some teams would take our HOF talent and…..Nevermind, what’s the point
Just hope we make the playoffs
I am good knowing that this team is moving away from its prior franchise quarterback and into a new era that will eventually unfold itself. I have no issues with the losing that has happened because from my point of view it was inevitable.
There are going to be growing pains, sure.
I like what I have seen over the last few weeks and it certainly looks promising and something to build upon.

In a sense, I would even say that Tomlin has finally gotten rid of some dead weight.
This is now 100% his team.
Keep up that energy when the Steelers are in a similar position in January 2025, and we'll see what you say then. How do you survive with that line of thinking? You can't see beyond your own bitterness and shallowness.
How about every franchise that hasn't won 6 Super Bowls?
That would be 30 of them.
It's one thing to not want to make drastic changes and stay the course, but it's another to stand pat. You mentioned the tortoise and the hare before. Well, Tortoises still move forward. Where do you see in this organization that is moving forward anywhere?
