He’s just not a smart football guy and he’s always been like that. I said it in the game day thread…he’s got a high ceiling, very high but he’s also got the lowest of floors…

Look at the video again...DJ can be joined by:

    77
    78
And I think even Warren himself

All reacted like the play was over/dead. I'm guessing MOST of the offense thought it was over.

I get why people like to complain about DJ. He makes a ton of money. His body language is lets say "vivid"....but he wasn't the only one guilty on this play...

And I will add that to be totally balanced...DJ made a really big third down shoestring catch later in the game....if we are going to dissect and comb over his every play....we gotta look at the good ones as well.

That’s the floor/ceiling…can’t have an AB attitude with Weegie Thompson production…

Until today no one on the offense produced.

This all strikes me as a tempest in a teapot.

I’m more than willing to admit that I’m all wrong about KP.

But I wonder if others will if it’s proven that DJ and Harris skyrocket from underneath Canada as well?

so will I but I am going to continue to monitor this , I mean it was against the 30th ranked passing defense so I will not anoint anyone after 1 performance , show me some 300 yard games with multiple TD passes and we will talk , ya know ?

this was progress but lets temper exceptions for now

    Reasonable.

I’ve just always believed that as much as Canada was crushing KP; Harris was suffering more.

I honestly believe his career will be wasted. I think on a good offense he would’ve been a star.

As it is, he’ll be out of the league in 3 years.

    .
you may not be wrong , its an anomaly for big backs to last long , they take a beating where as faster shiftier backs do not get as many hammering blows on the body , they take more glancing blows catch the corner and run OOB etc ... Henry is one of those anomalies that has been productive longer than most big guys , Bettis was another but for every one of those guys you have 10 Peyton Hillis's who are spectacular but last 2-3 years and fizzle out
Kenny Pickett is who we though he was ..

Very true. John Riggens would be another.

People forget how much of a death sentence lisfranc injuries tend to be for receivers/running backs, especially big physical ones. Najee has already had one, he wont be too good for the rest of his career. And even if he is, he wont last

All I wanted was to see improvement each week, so far so good. Let’s hope that with a full week of coaching this offense can capitalize on its red zone trips instead of FGs.

The same should be said about KP too.

Exactly. DJ had a right to be mad at Tomlin for not challenging that bad call the refs made on his TD catch. But DJ not going for the ball and just standing there is inexcusable. DJ needs a change of scenery and I think he'll be moved after the season's over.
