And yet Tomlin with his arm around Johnson at the end says a lot. These are grown ass men playing professional football and the coach just slapping them on the head like everything is ok. I know we won but the receivers taunting etc could have actually cost us the game. That's why this team will never be a Superbowl team because they are very undisciplined and the starts with the coaches.

It’s tough to judge externally. We’re not in locker room. Would it be worse if Tomlin not the leader. Rhetorical ,I haven’t a clue. WR’s are a different breed tho. Tough to keep a leash on them. It’s not just in Pittsburgh.

As I said after the last game, there are no disciplinarian coaches anymore in the NFL. It's a fallacy. Maybe it is more appearance than reality with some coaches, but it's just not how the league works anymore. I guess you could say there is discipline if you're a borderline roster player, but not for a starter in the NFL. Is there a coach in the NFL that would have risked pulling Pickens after that taunting penalty? Bitched him out on the sidelines? Threatened to to sit him next week? NO

Tomlin has his faults. However, this whole "Tomlin is too friendly with the players ...... not tough enough.... " is just a red herring.

Very true! WR's are more likely to be prima donna's and it's always tough to bring them down to earth. That being said it needs to stop or it will start costing us games.
