As I said after the last game, there are no disciplinarian coaches anymore in the NFL. It's a fallacy. Maybe it is more appearance than reality with some coaches, but it's just not how the league works anymore. I guess you could say there is discipline if you're a borderline roster player, but not for a starter in the NFL. Is there a coach in the NFL that would have risked pulling Pickens after that taunting penalty? Bitched him out on the sidelines? Threatened to to sit him next week? NO
Tomlin has his faults. However, this whole "Tomlin is too friendly with the players ...... not tough enough.... " is just a red herring.
