I know neither of those guys are popular on here, but neither was Mitch Trubisky. There's even a remote chance that Mason gets the job. I'll say this, if the Steelers make the playoffs and Mason starts, what does that say? To me, it says that there is zero belief that Kenny is the man going forward.
I think there is a chance of that as well. But can you really have a three person QB competition with the limited snaps available? I know technically we had a three person QB competition last year, but it really wasn't. The other issue is whether Mason would stick around if they brought in Fields or Wilson. He has already been burned once by a competition that wasn't. It all might depend on if the Steelers make the playoffs. If Mason were to lead the Steelers to a playoff victory, I do think he would get other offers. I'm not saying I would offer Mason a giant contract. But it could come down to how committed the Steelers really y are to giving Mason a shot.

BTW, I'd be good with bringing in Wilson and kicking the tires. I think he could be a good bridge QB. He could revive his career here. WE have good wr's and a power running name - just a perfect formula for revitalizing a veteran's career.
