Steelers pull off yet another trade ...

Trade! The #Steelers traded OL Kendrick Green to the #Texans, per source. ..getting rid of him is a blessing , getting something in return is a miracle !!
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar

I wonder if the Steelers are thinking of bringing someone else in for or just going with what they have in terms of depth.

I meant people who can play center. Although Jesse James could probably do that better than Kendrick Green.

I guess other teams were listening to those awful Atlanta announcers during the preseason game that were talking up Green as a fullback and offensive lineman like he was the ultimate weapon!

I would have taken a 9th rounder for him.

A sixth rounder in 2025 is close. But it’s something.

How do the Steelers find these trade partners? Although Trading MB and AB to the Raiders I can sort of understand since they were talented players who had produced on the field, but this? Green hasn’t done anything, maybe a speed bump can be a back up lineman?

Houston fans must not be happy

Reports are that the powers that be were going to draft Green but the Steelers got him first. So now they circle back and get their guy.

Do not underestimate the self-delusional arrogance of NFL coaching staffs. The Houston guys figure they will be the ones to "fix" Green and "unlock" his potential.

And to be fair...after Banner bounced out of a few places, Tomlin brought him in and told him he would make him a top tier OT.

All these guys figure that other coaching staffs are morons and they are the geniuses that can put things right.

The Steelers traded a 3rd round pick for a 6th round pick. The consensus on Green was he had a very high ceiling and if I remember correctly was a "draft day steal".

cant look at it that way ..

got to look at it as we are getting a 6th round pick for a guy who should have been cut last year

Most of it comes down to player analysis. Who can analyze a player properly and be honest about the analysis with the FO. Maybe they don’t really look at the tape.

I was hoping we would get a 17th rounder from the 70's. Green vs a 65 year old?

I'm happy the Steelers got something from a guy they shouldn't have drafted in the 1st place with that said the Steelers got 1 season out of gim and it was a bad one. My issue also was the attempt by the Steelers to sell him as the next Pouncy before a regular season snap had even occurred (hell they even gave him Pouncys number). The organization looked at him from day one as a gift straight from the gods and quickly learned there was a reason he was supposed to go in the 5th round.

fabs online don’t see it. I called this yesterday. Just turned my 20 into a cool 100 with my flock of losers too. That’s two trades I’ve nailed. Easy to predict though. So I do t get much deserved credit. But I do like making money. Yo.
