Steelers 2024 training camp schedule

Players report on Wednesday, July 24.

This will be the 57th year that Saint Vincent College will be the Steelers summer home.

The first practice open to the public will be held on Thursday, July 25.

The first padded practice will take place on Tuesday, July 30.

The 'Friday Night Lights' practice will be held on Aug. 2 at Latrobe Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m.

The final practice open to the public at Saint Vincent College will be on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Storyline to follow:

Kenny Pickett will not be there.

Lots of good content in this, I thought. Not anything new or Earth shattering, but good content in all.

The DL talk was the most interesting to me. Cam is back with a chip and a goal this season. There has been a lot of talk about Cam and his contract on fan forums this off-season. Cam wants a new contract at 35 after coming off an injury riddled season. I think we are going to get a special treat of a season from Cam this year.
DeMarvin Leal lost his spot on the roster last season. Showed up to TC out of shape and never caught up. My hope is this season he has that mindset he had his rookie year.
My biggest hope for the DL is this will be the season Keanu Benton breaks out and becomes a star.

I have not been supportive of the choice to bring in Justin Fields. I went back and watched some game film of him after he was signed and was not impressed. The PG guys really talked up his passing ability. We already know his athleticism. My hope is pairing Fields with Arthur Smith plus letting him learn from Russ is going to be a very good combination for that QBs future and for the Steelers.

Training Camp time! The teams get together and the footballs start flying, the sounds of the whistle, coaches barking, pads popping, and just the overall feel of hope for this season. Let's GO!!!

I’m liking the sound of this. If you think about it, Pickens, Harris, and Muth are the vets on THIS offensive. Wilson is definitely the player with the most experience, but that’s years of playing. I’m not sure we have our long term QB on the roster, but who knows (Russ is not the one, but I’ve come around to the consensus that KP is not “the one” for the Steelers). As most will remember I was a “Homer/Good old boy, apologist of KP”. Sorry it didn’t work out. If we had this board and the bitching that goes on now…..what would be said about the draft of Ben. Miami of Ohio!?! How did that work out.
