Maulet has heart and energy. He's just not very good at what he does. Maulet is a glorified undersized Linebacker playing Nickel. Good against the run, but liable in coverage. He stuck around because he was good in run support, which we needed because Devin Bush couldn't do his job. Once Bush was shipped out, it made Maulet expendable.
