Might be thinking of him as a center project?

Anderson's draft profile

I think he’s the prototypical 6th to 7th rounder. There’s tools. Upside. Potential.
If he can manage to snap the ball and not fall down, he will have exceeded Kendrick Green's athletic achievements.
Even though he played every OL position in college, there's no way he is a NFL OT right? Not even a backup. His draft designation was Guard but since he played some snaps at Center I guess he comes into TC as a backup C/G prospect. He will have a hill to climb.
probably some blogger or writer who doesn't meet the high standards of this board.
I'm still working on expressing my feelings and emotions also when I post, instead of just posting articles where I named these inferior sources.
But I just recently started therapy for this, so you can't expect miracle results overnight.
This is probably a good development. Most of the jack of all trades (Inspector Gadget - go go gadget) type players end up not really being very effective at all. Lots of factors will effective his future with the team, including if Mason Mccormick is the real deal. With Seumalo only signed through 2025, I could even see the Steelers draft another guard next year.
I think Tomlin gets too enamored with his jack of all trades players. He is a smart coach. Sometimes it is easy to outsmart yourself. Maybe he sees a guy like Joe Haeg and gets excited, thinking he can cover 4 positions on game day allowing Tomlin to make one less o'lineman active. Unfortunately, the end result is you have a player who sucks pretty much at four positions.
2nd-year Steelers OL Spencer Anderson takes on double duty as guard on 1st, 2nd team offenses

Per Matt Williamson, Spencer Anderson has looked really good in camp so far. He even went as far as saying that if the Steelers were to trade James Daniels for a decent return and plug Anderson in as the starter at RG, he'd be fine with it.
I still would rather wait to see how well Anderson actually plays in some preseason games first before we do that.
Anderson even as a rookie looked solid in camp and in the preseason, and he was playing several positions(T/G/C) at that point. I can buy into that report, but we'll see at the end of the week.
Anderson is up for an ESPY for his acting last night , he truly sold the defensive penalty with his back peddling stumble, fall and roll ...
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar
