I like it!
For those i love i will sacrifice.
Si ventus non est, remiga
He was the 3rd best O-lineman according to CBS of this draft.....
What did they trade to move up? I like the investment in OL though
Formerly known as Fire Goodell
If they are right in their evaluation that he’s a significantly better LT than Moore, it will have a positive cascade for the entire offense.
If they’re wrong and he’s the Kendrick Greene of OTs, Moore is still under contract.
One of the most risk buffered first round picks they’ve ever made.
Trading up to take an offensive lineman was probably my least favorite of almost any possible outcome.
See you Space Cowboy ...
Great pick, and they still have 32 and 49.
Kahn and Wiedl haven’t strayed too far from the Colbert blueprint.
Young? Check redshirt sophomore. I think he was the youngest tackle in the class?
Power 5? Yup.
Production in limited starts? Yes.
Massive athletic traits upside? Yes.
More things change….
Great pick. LT was the weak link in the line. Now maybe KP will have more time to go deep
So Glad we picked Jones and have a top-tier tackle. The most important piece on offense to support Pickett and the offense as a whole imo. The 4th round pick to move up is acceptable given the circumstances.
Round 2 hoping for an edge rusher and then a cornerback. We lost just about every game when TJ was out last year and while we lost Sutton, cornerback is fairly deep.

The funny thing,Dulac was wrong again!

The Steelers were clearly shell-shocked from the Ben years and didn't want to do the same thing with Pickett. They want to give him as much protection as possible.

@BrandonThornNFLSteelers fans, you got arguably the most physically talented OL in the class in Broderick Jones (size-power-AA). He is raw, young and inexperienced, but got progressively better in 2022 with his best football likely ahead of him.
So they traded up to draft a "raw" guy who may or may not be ready. Nice.
His hands are 10 5/8!!!
Extremely happy with the player. I understand trading up because the trade value was phenomenal and imo got the best LT prospect in the draft. #32 is going to be huge trade bait as there’s a lot of good players left and the Steelers have their choice. I sit tight unless I get a 2024 first and a 2023 day two pick.
My only wish was us getting an OT, CB and ILB with our first 3 picks (in no particular order). So far we got a day 1 starting OT, have the opportunity to get a day 1 starting CB. If they do get a CB (JPJ is my preference) tomorrow with the 32nd pick, I am happy no matter who else we draft.
Good pick, good call from Daniel Jeremiah.

The Pick really dulled me at first, but I understand the reasoning behind it and JP Junior fell to Day 2. So there is a chance to get someone to keep up with the receivers of the AFC.
