Who had the better career: Eli Manning or Philip Rivers? I think both will be hall of famers. Rivers has better stats but what did he do in big games? And it's not like he didn't have talent around him. Eli played great in two post-seasons that led to Super Bowls over the GOAT and the Evil Empire.

Putting up good numbers for 17 years, while winning nothing that matters and generally topping out at a divisional-round playoff loss, does not often earn you a place among the all-time greats.

The 2006-2009 Era Chargers were some of the most stacked and talented teams ever. Especially the 2006 Team. Rivers blew a very winnable game against a vulnerable and outmatched Patriots team.
Rivers is the typical Charger QB. Great statistics but won nothing of note. Eli beat one of the greatest teams of all time in the Super Bowl, and beat them again. He gets the edge for that alone.
2 Superbowls beats Rivers super sperms.

Yes, but Ben had a subpar first Superbowl, which cancels out his entire career, from the playoff games leading to that Superbowl to his subsequent success. Its from the Joy Taylor school of (il)logic.
