Big Ben is back at quarterback, this time helping his former Pittsburgh Steelers teammate's nephew.
Pittsburgh Steelers legend Maurkice Pouncey arrived at the Miami Dolphin's facility this week to honor his brother Mike as he officially announced his retirement.
During the press conference, the Pouncey brothers were asked about life after football, their families and possibly starting a podcast together. When Maurkice took the stage, he praised his twin as the better football player and said that his former teammate is actually helping turn his nephew into a quarterback.
"Mike does the travel football team. His son’s the star quarterback man," Maurkice said. "He ain’t playing o-line, so he better be able to throw that football for sure. ‘Big Ben’ (Ben Roethlisberger) told him – he taught him as soon as we retired, he told him to put the quarter in the pocket. So that’s his little tip for him to make it down the line."
It doesn't take advice from a future Hall of Famer to turn into a great QB, but having one by your side certainly helps your development.
