Good. Also let Carlins Platel go…maybe the more talented of the two…

Don't know why they signed him in the first place.

Well, when you’re thin at a position and there is not much out there…….just look at the world we live in at the moment. Get on the Steeler’s staff and come up with some alternatives.

Thin at a position or not Dude couldn't even practice with the team and ended up on IR. What good was he?

What would’ve happened had the Steelers drafted him. Looks like Artie Burns/William Jackson was a lose/lose proposition…

If he got paid the full amount, not a terrible thing to gamble on a player that they thought might be worth something. Cutting him creates no dead money. They save 12.187 on the cap and didn’t have to give anything up to get him from Washington. $3M for a free CB that they thought highly of on draft day? I’d take that gamble every now and again…

The bad thing is it looks like Jackson or Burns…both were bad players…which brings us to the old adage that the Steelers don’t know what they are doing when it comes to CBs…

The $3 million ($2.78 millon according to sportrac) was what the Steelers agreed to take on. Commanderskins had to eat $10 million+

Yeah. I would do that deal every time. Have the money, spend it and it doesn’t affect the future? No brainer.

He was okay. Not worthy of the first round pick IMO.

No teams are good at finding CBs.

Take James Bradberry. Good season. Bad season. Good season. Across multiple teams. Is he gonna be good in 2023 or have a bad season?

I don’t know about that. I feel like the Packers have always been good at drafting DBs. Maybe the Jets or Rams?

Packers are 50/50 at best. For every Alexander there’s a Kevin King.

And that would be considered pretty good. Nobody hits 100% on a position…everybody says Pittsburgh is good at drafting WRs and that’s probably about 50/50.

True. If I get stuck in front of a computer and want to avoid doing actual work, it might be fun to look deeper into it.
