Yes....For me,every era(like the Mahomes and Reid era for the chiefs) who has at least 3 SB is a dynasty. They are close...Maybe not at the 60s packers or 70s steelers level but still a dynasty with a another SB in the next few years

The Chiefs and Mahomes have been to the AFCCG 5yrs straight with a 3-2 record. 3 SBs in 5yrs with a 2-1 record. Hard to say they aren’t already a dynasty.

Well, those dynasties, Packers and Steelers, were short lived but the Chiefs have a long way to go to match the Patriots dynasty.

The Tom Brady–Bill Belichick era, also known as the Brady–Belichick era, the New England Patriots dynasty, or the Patriots dynasty, was a sports dynasty of the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL) that lasted from the 2001 to the 2019 season. The dynasty is named after quarterback Tom Bradyand head coach Bill Belichick, who are regarded as among the greatest in their respective positions. Belichick and Brady are consistently credited with the Patriots' success[1][2][3][4][5][6] and are considered responsible for one of the sport's longest and most dominant dynasties.[7][8] They are also credited with helping to create and sustain the culture around the team, dubbed the "Patriot Way", where there is an emphasis on personal accountability, consistent improvement, and a focus on team success over personal gain.

Under Belichick and Brady, the Patriots played in nine Super Bowls, more than any other NFL franchise, and won a league-record six (tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers). They also had 19 consecutive winning seasons, 17 division titles (including 11 consecutive from 2009 to 2019), 13 AFC Championship Game appearances (including eight consecutive from 2011 to 2018), and the only undefeated 16-game regular season in 2007.[9] The Patriots appeared in half of all Super Bowls played during Brady's 18 seasons as the primary starter[12] and won two-thirds of those they played in.

In addition to helping set the Patriots' franchise records, Brady and Belichick hold the records for the most Super Bowl appearances and victories by a player and head coach, respectively. Belichick also holds the records for the most playoff wins by a head coach (31) and Super Bowl appearances by an individual (11), while Brady holds the quarterback records for career wins (264), regular season wins (230), and playoff wins (34) and the record for
    Super Bowl MVP awards (five).

    1) The Chiefs have a chance but it'll be a long road and the odds aren't good.
    2) The Steelers had a GREAT team but it only lasted about 1/4 as long as the Patriots dynasty and it was during the steroid era.

    Tracking the Patriots Dynasty

Throughout the history of the NFL there have been many dynasties, but none have been on the same level as the Patriots' dominance since Bill Belichick took over in 2000. Since September 3rd, 2000 the Patriots have an astounding win percentage against the rest of the league. In fact, no team in the NFL has a winning record against the Patriots in this span.

Under the guidance of Coach Belichick and the command of Tom Brady, the Patriots defied the NFL system designed to prevent such dynasties from forming. Over 20 seasons the duo broke nearly every record in the league on the way to winning 6 Super Bowls.

This website was created to document this historical run by the most dominant team in the history of football using statistics as well as storytelling to show just how special this team has been.

Steelers had new rules stacked against them while new rules favored the Pats to keep them alive. Joe Montana was the best QB of the Super Bowl era while the 70s Steelers were the most dominant when it counted.

Don't forget the 1976 Steelers who probably had the best defense in history and if late season trades were available possibly could have won 3 in a row. That will be the next record to go down.

To be fair, the new rules of the NFL in 2004 was more about the colts that the pats....This rule was made because of the AFC title game between the Colts and pats in 2003 when the pats defense were very physical with the receiver of the colts...The Pats were winning especially with their defense at this time(2001 to 2006)

That's right. I remember a Colts receiver going over the middle, close to the line of scrimmage, and a Pats linebacker just crushing him mid route. And I mean crushing him. I think it was Ted Johnson who hit him.

It’s basically a new team every year.

The days of winning with the same couple dozen are over.

Get a core of like 5 and fill in around that.

Then why did 86WARD post?: "Patriots weren’t a Dynasty. Free agency ruined that “Dynasty Tag”."

The question "If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl this upcoming season, do you consider that a dynasty?"
refers to dynasties and what makes one. Duh.

Not a dynasty. A dynasty is when a large group of players are together for a long period of time. Free agency ruined that.

The base of Belichick, and Brady, makes the Patriots a Dynasty. Further, while the Patriots two SB runs only had those two in common, they had players on each run that were there for most of that particular run. I shouldn't have to name them.

    You're not making any sense.

I said I get your point about last years post of mine. But I disagree about the question being only about the Chiefs. It's about what makes a dynasty also.
