    steelers offensive futility

35 straight games? Steelers own NFL’s longest streak for offensive futility....

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers offense has been one of the more downtrodden units in football over the past two seasons. A lack of scoring, efficiency, and explosive plays have held back teams that were shut down in their tracks by the unit. One stat showcases the futility of the unit more than others.
It comes down to raw yardage. That does not always mean a lot, but sometimes when the rest of the offense collapses, they can tell a story. In the modern NFL, you need explosive plays to win and run up the score. Great quarterbacks routinely put up 30 or more points in the modern game.

Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar

Ben at the end of his career - transition to the failed Trubisky experiment - to the rookie who went through a few growing pains
OL getting old and bringing in new parts some fit some don't
mix that in with a coordinator who really doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s in over his head at the pro level

    its been the perfect storm.

Honestly, of all the things to shit on Canada for (and there are many things), yardage is probably the least of his issues. 400 yards is kind of a stretch and is shitting on to shit on. Just reeks of a hot click article for hot clicks. Matt Canada is a hot topic and easy lightning rod.

    Give a lib a fish--he eats for a day

Teach a lib to fish--he is back the next day asking for more free fish.

yeah, I agree the 400 yard mark is kind of irelevant but we were bottom of the league at least partially due to his crappy play design.

why didn’t we use the fullback or hb more often in pass protection to give Ben or the other qb’s more time to scan the field and throw downfield?

why were receivers getting very little separation? Their routes mostly looked like curls or fades. The poor route design is all on Canada

the roll outs are not a good idea unless you’ve got a Lamar Jackson as the QB. Not 100 year old Ben, Trubisky who has trouble throwing accurately on the run or a Rookie who suddenly has only half the field to work with. This is Canadas stupid play design.
