    2023 Draft Thread for OL

Just a quick '2min Drill' video on O'Cyrus Torrence.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buCxVM505HE

As the clip says, Torrence is probably the first OG off the board. I have seen him on various big boards as high as 26 all the way down to around 60. Obviously his draft value will depend on team needs but he is considered by everyone as top OG prospect in this draft.

Ricky Stromberg remains my favorite true Center in this year's draft. IMO, he is this year's Creed Humphrey. The highest I have seen him ranked on big boards has been 3rd round. I expect that to change after pro day workouts and Senior Bowl workouts and NFL combine workouts. I recommend go look at his game tape and highlights when you get the chance.

This year's 'Tyler Linderbaum' prospect may be ND's OC Jarrett Patterson. Meaning, his college tape is undeniable but there will be debate over his length and overall athleticism and how he will translate to the NFL game. He may be a prospect that should play as an IOL utility backup role early. He was just such a solid Center for his college career(never gave up a sack) that I have to keep him on my radar this draft, maybe as a 3rd/4th round guy.

Pasting this article here because it talks about how hard the current OL worked during and after practices to improve and learn with each other. Pat Meyer did a good job this season, IMO, getting our guys on the same page as well. Upgrades in talent and depth are always key in the NFL. Must keep building.

Top 7 OTs according to nfldraftbuzz.com before workouts.

    1. Peter Skoronski NW
    2. Paris Johnson Jr OSU
    3. Broderick Jones UGA
    4. Anton Harrison OU
    5. Dawand Jones OSU
    6. Darnell Wright UT
    7. Jaelyn Duncan Maryland

I think one of these names will be added to the Steelers roster.

In response to all of these:

    I love O’Cyrus!!!

Stromberg in R3 would be nice.

Good comparison of Patterson to Linderbaum. Of course, if we can get Linderbaum’s production with a late R2 (or early R3) pick, I’d gladly take it.

Skoronski has the best mechanics. Period. Hands down. He reminds me of a super-talented Kelvin Beachum: plays bigger than his measureables. For that reason, I’d play Skoronski at LT.

Jamaree Sayler who got drafted in the 6th round is doing very well for the Chargers as their LT. Point being you can find some gems in the late rounds

Getting to like this guy more and more. Cooper Beebe IOL Kansas State. Not sure what round he'll go, but my hope is they get an OT and an IOL within the first 4 picks (rnds 1-3). Perfect size at around 6'3"-4" and 320.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3sdwbIjYk there's also a utube vid on Beebe vs Voorhees and Voorhees is the other IOL that I'd target in rnd 2.

Come on...... Voorhees!!!, how cool would it be to see a bunch of Friday the 13th masks in the crowd on Sunday lol.

EDIT: I guess Beebe is returning to Kansas State for 2023. He'll be top 25 next year's draft imo.

Emil Ekiyor Jr is another candidate for the interior. I thought he looked pretty good during the senior bowl practices.
