Bush has played 10 snaps combined in the last 2 games, very likely the last 2 games with the steelers

What would be your plan B at the ILB position if Roquan Smith and Edmunds(Bills) are not available or not sign with us?

    Re: Official Offseason thread

Official draft order (pre-playoffs) with needs (according to NFL.com)...

    1. Bears 3-14 [NEEDS: Edge, DL, OL]
    2. Texans 3-13-1 [NEEDS: QB, OL, DL]
    3. Cardinals 4-13 [NEEDS: OL, Edge, CB]
    4. Colts 4-12-1 [NEEDS: QB, OL, WR]
    5. Seahawks 9-8 (from Broncos) [NEEDS: Edge, DL, QB]
    6. Lions 9-8 (from Rams) [NEEDS: DB, DL, LB]
    7. Raiders 6-11 [NEEDS: QB, OL, Edge]
    8. Falcons 7-10 [NEEDS: Edge, QB, WR]
    9. Panthers 7-10 [NEEDS: QB, CB, TE]
    10. Eagles 14-3 (from Saints) [NEEDS: DB, Edge, DL]
    11. Titans 7-10 [NEEDS: OL, WR, TE]
    12. Texans 3-13-1 (one of MANY from Browns) [NEEDS: QB, OL, DL]
    13. Jets 7-10 [NEEDS: OL, S, QB]
    14. Patriots 8-9 [NEEDS: OT, WR, DB]
    15. Packers 8-9 [NEEDS: S, TE, Edge]
    16. Redskins 8-8-1 [NEEDS:QB, CB, OL]
    17. STEELERS 9-8 [NEEDS: OL, CB, DL]
    18. Lions 9-8 [NEEDS: DB, DL, LB]
    19-31. TBD after playoffs
    32. STEELERS

The Bears do not need a QB so I could see them trading down to get their player, who will likely be Jalen Carter out of Georgia.

I prefer they just get the BPA in the draft, even if say it's a position of not need like WR (Addison). Reaching for a need is how you get Artie Burns and Jarvis Jones

They need to improve the ILB position big time....A playmaker would be huge at this position

Going from what Ryan Shazier was to what has followed all the way up to this current group is like stepping off a cliff.

And Shazier was so good in big game like the playoffs too...He was a turnover machine!

Every single time I think about the possibility of Shazier playing with Watt, Minkah, Cam, Highsmith, Tuitt etc..... it brings a tear to my eye.

I know that in the real world, a bunch of different events may not have happened if Shazier was still playing, but man.......I can dream that he was still playing and Tuitt didn't have a life-changing event end his career. This defense would be sick.

And I think these are things that some posters keep forgetting (heck, I keep forgetting them as well). Both cases (Shazier and Tuitt) caused us to lose players we were counting on for several years to come. I've wondered why we didn't have a stronger LB core a couple of times this year without realizing that if we still had Shazier, we would have that strong group of LBs.

But, remember, the team can’t draft, develop, or coach.

    I don’t think there’s a big enough eye roll

Shazier anchoring this group of LBers would’ve been a sight to see.

It's how they got Devin Bush to begin with. Traded up for him because we "needed" him.

Minkah might never be a Steeler if Shazier is still here.

CBs are waaay overpriced in free agency. Plus, this draft is chock full of really good ones.

It would be crazy great if the steelers sign the Edmunds brother in this offseason but I don't know if it will be possible.....Maybe the bills will put the franchise tag on him???...No idea

It’s a possibility. That said, Terrell said he was going to talk to his brother about playing with him on the Steelers. So…

    Re: Official Offseason thread

Okay mocks are garbage in general. But, there really seems to be zero consensus on Peezy Jr. in particular.
    Just a quick check:
    23rd 4th CB off board
    6th 1st CB off board
    14th 2nd CB off board
    29th 5th CB off board
    10th 1st CB off board
    7th 1st CB off board

I’ve never seen him play, but it seems like picking him would be well within character for the Steelers front office. Where do you rank him among CB’s in the draft?

I’m of the opinion that the Steelers need to pick a difference maker in the 1st & 2nd (independent of need). However, if talking shit, hype (they shot me in Denver), pre-game fighting, and general defensive nastiness is hereditary….The entertainment value alone may be worth a 1st round pick.
