So they suck at drafting and development, but they also are unable to properly coach up the massive amount of talent they have on the roster (which is ostensibly due to said drafting and development since they are never major players in the FA market).

Please pick one narrative and go with it.

Every single time I think about the possibility of Shazier playing with Watt, Minkah, Cam, Highsmith, Tuitt etc..... it brings a tear to my eye.

I know that in the real world, a bunch of different events may not have happened if Shazier was still playing, but man.......I can dream that he was still playing and Tuitt didn't have a life-changing event end his career. This defense would be sick.

And I think these are things that some posters keep forgetting (heck, I keep forgetting them as well). Both cases (Shazier and Tuitt) caused us to lose players we were counting on for several years to come. I've wondered why we didn't have a stronger LB core a couple of times this year without realizing that if we still had Shazier, we would have that strong group of LBs.

I’ve never seen him play, but it seems like picking him would be well within character for the Steelers front office. Where do you rank him among CB’s in the draft?

I’m of the opinion that the Steelers need to pick a difference maker in the 1^st & 2^nd (independent of need). However, if talking shit, hype (they shot me in Denver), pre-game fighting, and general defensive nastiness is hereditary….The entertainment value alone may be worth a 1^st round pick.
