Week 17: For Whom to Root

For whom to root, in order to help the Steelers make the playoffs:

    Steelers over Ravens … duh

Taperiots over Dolphins … it has to be done

Seahawks over Jets … for playoff reasons

And, in order for the R2 pick that we acquire from the Bears:

Lions over Bears … Bears losing directly helps our pick

Texans over Jaguars … the Bears gain top pick in R2

I can't ever cheer for the Patriots no matter what the stakes are.

I'll just watch the Steelers and hope they handle their business. I can dig cheering for the texans and against the bears though

Re: Week 17: For Whom to Root

They need a lot of help and it's very similar to 2013 when the steelers were 2-6 and 5-8 at one point and needed 6 things to happen in other games in the last 2 weeks and the miracle was almost happening...At the end, the steelers only needed the chiefs kicker to make the game winning FG vs chargers and the steelers would have been in the playoffs

It was so painful,it would been a true miracle!....It was what the steelers needed in the final 2 week in 2013 and like I said, the miracle would have happened if the kicker of the chiefs would have made his field goal vs Chargers

I’ve pulled for the Steelers several times in the past if their W benefits the Ravens making (or getting better seeding) in the playoffs. I don’t get that level of hatred lol.

There's a big difference/respect "rooting" for the Ravens vs the Patriots**.

Well, it appears as if Tua is possibly out this week. So that is a start.

I dislike the Ravens but respect the team, I don't feel the same way about the Pats

There's a very easy solution to that - hope the Patriots win and root for a lot of people to get hurt.

Mac Jones is starting to get pretty unlikable as well. Pouting, tantrums, dirty tackles... He fits right in there.

Bill Belichick is one of the greatest coaches in history. If he was the Steelers head coach, we would all love him.

I agree. And if he was such a genius, he wouldn't have had to cheat.

How was his forward progress stopped!?! WTF!?! Normally, I’d be excited about the Taperiots getting screwed out of a fumble recovery, but we need them to win.

This is not possible. If the Jets win their last two games they they will be 9-8. They beat us head to head in week #4 so that would be it for us. Also the Chargers are already a lock. The only spot left open is the #7 spot which means we need to win our last two games and we would also need ...

    THIS WEEK:

    Pats beat Dolphins
    Seahawks beat Jets

    NEXT WEEK:

    Bills beat Pats
    Jets beat Dolphins

Of course there are always weird scenarios with ties but I'm not going down that road. I think our biggest hurdle is winning tonight on the road.

I am sorry....This tweet was from 2013 and my point it was just to said that in 2013 the steelers had need all of this to make the playoffs and it almost happen(the only thing the steelers had need at the end was a FG by the chiefs kicker to beat the chargers)...This is true that I was off topic too
