    Heroes/Goats vs Panthers

Swept the really poor NFC South and No losing season clinched. Yet.

Heroes: Harris, Warren, O-Line, Mitch didn't blow it, DJ had a great game, George Pickens.

Goats: Marcus Allen needs walking, DJ's unsportsmanlike penalty, Robert Spillane. Its very clear that this team has a lot of dead wood to cut this offseason. So many subpar and mediocre hangings on all through the roster.

Mitch and the OL, and Heyward

Marcus Allen needs to be given his walking papers, he single handedly gave the panthers life due to the stupidest penalty I’ve ever witnessed since Pac-Man Jones

    I pretty much echo this.

Heroes: Running backs, O-Line, WRs, and our defense wasn't all that bad. I'm not giving Trubisky a game ball because he was on a short leash this game. It's cute how he thinks he's the shit now, though.

Goats: Marcus Allen and DJ for stupid and embarrassing unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

    Heroes- O-line running game defense.

Goats- Tomlin- Instill some discipline to your players. What Allen and DJ did was unacceptable.

Heros...DJ and the entire defense. I'm not giving anything to the RBs or OL. They had a few decent runs, but still averaged under 4 ypc. That doesn't cut it 90% of the time.

Goats...Marcus Allen. That was a bonehead move to go stand in their huddle.

All in all, it was a pretty good game by the Steelers. They had nice balance and were really in control the entire way. This may have been the most complete game they've played this season.

Gameball: Warren, Harris, DJ, Highsmith I thought stood out

Goats: none really but Tomlin has to do better keeping his guys in line. This isn’t the first time this kind of stuff has happened.

Well, the Jets losing was key to the Steelers making the playoffs.

That being said, Balls (from what I saw) go to DJ, Pickens, Najee, the OL, Defense and even Trubisky.

Goats are Allen and Tomlin for not making a statement with Allen right there when it happened.

    Heroes:
Mitch for doing all that was needed and failed to do last week: MANAGE THE GAME. DJ, he made up for his bonehead play. TJ for his 1.5 sacks. Highsmith for playing possessed. Boz for clinching.

Goats: Obvious. I would have sent him straight to the locker room.

Agree with all this. Mitch needs to get credit and DJ made more clutch catches and runs to overcome that taunting penalty. Defense played big.

Good job on Mitch, DJ and especially the run game.

The trio of TJ, Cam, Highsmith were everywhere today.

    Heroes- The O-line,Najee
    Goats- Tomlin,DJ,Allen.
This is an undisciplined team that carries over year to year. Mike Tomlin is ultimately responsible for his players actions while the players are on the field and in the locker room. What DJ did was an outburst due to frustration, Allen showed what the culture Tomlin has created allows.

Yeah, las week was really the one that hurt the most, we win that and our playoffs were in our hands. There are 3-4 games we should have had at this point. That is what makes me so angry at Crapnada honestly. With the way this mediocre season is going for most teams, if we just had an average OC we would be playing for the division lead right now, and we aren’t that good of a team honestly.

    Game balls

Run offense including O line and RBs. Well done. DJ (the receiver, see below). Pickens. What a receiver and pick up that was.

    Goats
DJ (the taunter, although it came from intensity on the field so I'm okay with that a lot more than Allen). Speaking of which, Allen. Nothing else needs to be said.

    --------------
All in all, I liked what I saw today. What I didn't like is that we looked like a good 5-8 team beating up a bad 5-8 team. We didn't look like a 8-5 team with bad breaks putting us at 5-8.

At Allen’s stupid level? On the football field? If your taking about Mean Joe kicking someone in the groin or Lambert throwing cliff Harris to the ground to defend a teammate - doesn’t compare to Allen’s behavior

I wasn’t referencing Allen at all. Just the lack of discipline in general. I’ve already stated that I would’ve sent Allen straight to the locker room.

Did he just push the FB into the RB through sheer physical violence?

Yes, but as the tweet noted, that is a 315lb guard(Cade Mays, it seems)

He played the same way in the preseason. Also this is just his 2nd year playing defense, nothing but upside.

    Agreed!

I’ve posted this before - while I’m not competent enough to be able to project what Robinson can be as a player - I’m super excited that whenever faced with a decision, he chooses aggressively violent action.

he reminds me a bit of Harrison. When he hits people they don’t just go backwards, they go flying

Balls: Rin game looked legit. O-Line, RBs, DJ and defense.

    Goats: Marcus Allen.

Terrell Edmunds played 61% of the snaps at ILB. Simultaneously, we had one of the better run-stuffing days in recent memory.

    Coincidence?… I think not.
