Serious question. Is it time to start letting Jackson/Pierre start eating into Witherspoon's playtime?




We all saw how incredibly streaky Witherspoon was last year before turning it on the latter half of the season. Are Jackson/Pierre so much worse? Out of our "Top 3," Sutton and Wallace generally offer some semblance of NFL level play (and are pretty good at times) and should probably be considered safe. But Pierre had some serious drive killing plays yesterday and then I see things like this:

I should preface this by saying I didn't get to watch the entire game, but I want to know if they just captured lightning in a bottle like the rest of the team or if there's something more. Thoughts?

Ok so I just found out the person who tweeted this purposefully tweets out fake shit and Mike Evans caught all 4 of his targets. But I still pose the same question for James Pierre

For me, the team needs to look at getting Maulet in a run down/passing down time share with someone. And Levi Wallace has not really been all that great.

So maybe in passing downs, Pierre comes in opposite Witherspoon and Sutton kicks inside. With Wallace the odd man out in the current rotation? With the overall lack of speed in the CB group, I have a hard time taking Witherspoon off the field despite his struggles. He's the only one with any real long speed.

in fairness Witherspoon has shown us he can put elite tape out ....

Pierre has not , we have had BIG hopes Pierre would develop but its been slow coming ( thankfully not Justin Layne slow ) he has shown flashes but he hasnt strung games together yet so I am just cautiously optimistic he fooled me once already soooo I will be slow to trust the 2nd time around
