    Re: Hire Ben Roethlisberger!

2 things the steelers are already missing without Ben...

Even though he was washed last year, he was still good to win close game in the fourth quarter, so it's going to be a big struggle to win close game without him.

The other thing, he was still respected by his teammates in offense even if he was no longer the same QB... This year, it's really not the same thing with Mitch, the receivers complaint so much even if the majority of the time they are right on this....the steelers miss his leadership a lot...

Ben would have Kenny throwing the ball, going no huddle, QB sneaks, etc., etc.

Harvesting season is almost over for his garden.

    HIRE BEN!

What Roethlisberger would do if he was offensive coordinator

Ben Roethlisberger says he doesn’t want to be the Steelers next offensive coordinator, but he’s happy being an “armchair offensive coordinator.”

So what would Big Ben do to fix the offense?

“I’m throwing the ball deep on first, second and third down, like I’m just saying I’m letting it go, I’m not throwing the five-yard pass, I’m not throwing the three-yard pass,” said Roethlisberger on his “Footbahlin” podcast.

So maybe it wasn’t “his arm strength” that was the problem…lol

They’ve thrown more deep passes than any team except the Broncos.

They’ve completed less than a third of them.

It’s not throwing them. It’s actually completing them.

If Ben wanted to spend that much time away from home he would be playing for 10x what he would make as a coach ...

Yes someone would pay him to do that too he instantly would be the best QB on this Steelers team and there are others just as bad off they just have better playbooks and play callers....

Remember when Geno Smith sucked ??? well he looks like many of us expected him to look years ago when he was fresh outta WVU ... Point being its not always on the player , sometimes the system is a major factor in the outcome of a career
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar

I get why some people may not have liked Haley in the past but none of it had to do with football. He can scheme an offense and can get the most out of the talent. I wouldn’t mind seeing him back

    Ben can endorse him,

as far as Ben being OC, I don’t think he would have the patience for it. But I think most people on this board can do a better job than Canada

I think Ben would need some pretty solid coordinators under him allowing him to focus on game planning and play calling solely. He would need help (IMO) with play designs and some of the nuances not QB related simply because he has never done that.

Yep. And Russel Wilson is experiencing the same but inversely.

But per the topic I say cut the cord. Ben is a meathead.
