Unfair? Not sure. He is setting value for himself based on what Watson did. He didn't do what Watson did (on the football field).... at least, not yet. He's proven to be injury prone.... and likely will be for the rest of his career, based on his style of play. He is absolutely a weapon, but if he isn't available, how much of a weapon is he? Why would any team give him what he wants when he will always be a complete unkown when it counts the most?

For Jackson, it seems Deshaun Watson is his white whale and he's just not going to listen to anything else, including what the market says. The Watson deal is a result of he was originally going to Atlanta. The Browns had to more than sweeten the deal. A minor bidding war to some extent. There is no bidding at this time for Lamar. It may happen still. July is still a long way off.

Watson’s career passer rating is 102.3, including 2022, compared to Lamar’s 96.7. Passing yards per game, 261 to 174. But mostly I base it on what my eyes see when I watch them. LJ is a great runner. That’s all.
With Lamar you need to combine rushing yards and passing yards, otherwise it's not fair.Passing rating is not a great stats too, it needs a lot of context otherwise we could said that Jimmy G or Kirk Cousins are top 5 QB in this league.And for the passing yards when you are often behind like the Texans in 2020, you are more likely to have passing yards and TD pass in garbage time
