It’s only practice, but any news that gets my hopes up of having a (somewhat) decent backup RB gets me excited. And, Jaylen Warren has looked pretty good.

never heard of him
I love the Gazoo helmets ...
Is this the future of the NFL?
We've already had a Jaylen at RB.
Jaylen Warren, RB, Oklahoma State, 5-8, 215 Warren was named Utah's Mr. Football in 2016 after running for a state-record 3,099 yards and record-tying 38 touchdowns for state title-winning Salt Lake City East High School. He began his collegiate career at Snow College. He ran for over 1,000 yards both seasons at Snow, earning NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year recognition as a sophomore. Warren signed with Utah State in 2019, playing in 12 games off the bench that season (112-569-5.1, five TDs rushing; 15-182-12.1 receiving). He opted out of the 2020 campaign after three games (39-252-6.5, one TD rushing; 3-27-9.0 receiving, two starts) before transferring to Oklahoma State. The Cowboys welcomed him with open arms, voting him a team captain. Warren was the Big 12 Conference Offensive Newcomer of the Year and an honorable mention all-conference selection after recording a team-high 1,216 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground (256 carries; 25-225-9.0 receiving in 14 games, 12 starts). -- by Chad Reuter
Interesting that he gets listed at 215lbs, but at the Combine he was 5'8", 204lbs and ran a 4.56 with a 34" vert. Looks like a solid and compact RB with quick feet and when you work your way up from JUCO to an NFL camp, he is gonna be a hard working grinder. Will be interesting to watch how things unfold for him.
Warren has one less obstacle. McNichols was placed on IR.
Reports are that McFarland has been having a good camp. May be hard for a rookie to make the roster
Harris
Snell
McFarland
IMO McFarland has to show up lights out or he is cut , lets face it he has been on the roster 2 years already and has done what exactly ?
if he isnt the Poster boy for being on a hot seat there is no poster boy ...
career stats ...
13 games 36 carries 116 yards ... in other words 3.2 yards per carry ... 7 catches for 65 yards ....
as poor as the statistical performances have been his availability has been worse ... 13 games of availability on 2 seasons ...I mean this is a Guy you can NOT count on ..11 games his rookie campaign and just 2 last year ( 3 carries for 3 yards in 2021 )
if there isnt an upgrade in camp for this cat maybe we should keep 7 or 8 wr's
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
This stuff has a way of sorting itself out.
Either performance “in stadiums” will provide clarity or someone will get hurt.
Master Teague has been looking good also. He's that James Conner type of back who's got decent straight ahead speed and is tough to bring down
Snell is a solid special teams contributor and from what I've heard has been looking improved in camp this year. I am intrigued by Durant, Warren, and Teague, but it will probably take more than a couple splash plays to push Snell off the roster. McFarland may be in trouble though.
