Just an example trade scenario, I would send Trubisky to LA for Matt Feiler. They make about the same salary and Herbert has 6 foot Chase Daniels as backup. Move Okafor to LT and sit Moore.
The Taperiots need a receiver… and they were one of the teams “kind of” interested in Rudolph. Isaiah Wynn is in the final year of his contract, and Bill loves trading guys who want new contracts.
That said, the rumor is that Bill is going to live or die with Mac Jones… in hopes of “not tanking” for one of the top-tier QBs in the 2023 draft. So, he might not want another QB, nor a receiver. Then again, that could also mean he’s willing to get rid of any offensive player (Wynn) who doesn’t help them “not tank”.
SUMMATION:
Wynn for our R3 makes sense.
Wynn for Sims, Rudolph, and our R4 would be my preference.
Wynn seems undersized for a tackle (6-02). Still might be a better addition than Feiler, who’s 30 and allowed two more sacks. We need O line help more than we need Trubisky or MR added with a wr. to me either guy backing up KP would do. We need an OT first priority…..(maybe we need a new line coach as well eventually)
beachum was undersized too and did well for himself
All I know is that right now I'm really disappointed that I came here and Tomlin didn't decide to announce his quarterback selection at 3:30 in the morning Eastern Time like a man.

Chukks is playing better than Moore. Moving Chukks to LT improves that position (even if it’s only slightly better, it is indeed an improvement).
Wynn only has to be equal to Chukks’s play at RT… and Wynn is a pretty good RT. Voila!!! improved O-line.
Moore learning the new hand technique (some former NFL lineman was saying the hand-use that Moore is currently being taught a different technique than Klemm used) for a year behind Wynn affords Moore time to develop. Or… we kick him inside and he battles against Daniels (who was supposed to be an upgrade, but hasn’t look like it thus far).
Lastly, cutting Green allows the Steelers to pick up another free agent… who will be better than Green. I usually don’t give up on a player so quickly, but Green looks completely overwhelmed; any other player would have at least some chance to be better. Because as it us, Green is nothing like the dominant LG that he was in college… and keeps getting worse.
Tomlin knows. The team knows. But, unless he absolutely has to announce it, he won’t… because it forces the Bengals to prep for BOTH quarterbacks.
What he should do is announce Rudolph as the starter. Then, some team will be like, “He’s a starter!!!… we will give you two R1 picks for him.” Then, Rudolph gets traded on Sept 9th, we get a pick (actually a R4), and the Bengals have wasted two weeks of planning time.
It seems like the Steelers themselves are the one trying to drum up interest in a Rudolph trade themselves. All these reports that the Steelers received trade interest must be getting leaked out deliberately by a usually tight lipped front office.
I am guessing that so far all they received is the conditional swap of 7th round picks
What he should do against the Bengals is announce Joe Burrow as the starter, and then everyone will go, "You can't do that, he's on the other team!!" but he'll be like, "too late, I announced it," and then they'll have to spend the whole week preparing for Burrow and they'll be all pissed off.
Then when the game starts, he says "offense, play defense - defense, play offense," and amazingly, that improves the OL.

Rudolph to Dallas?
I heard that Wynn has been struggling since they decided to move away from power run blocking to a zone blocking scheme. It seems that other than finding a franchise QB, offensive line has become the most difficult unit of a team to put together in today's NFL.
I don't know if the team has any interest, but it seems he can be an effective player if put in the right system.
Don't know why Tomlin isn't just coming out and saying Mitch is the starter, we all know that's happening. The Bengals are probably already prepping for him.
But we don't all really know... It's assumed. But it was also assumed that Tomlin would take Malik Willis in R1:20. I think there's a small chance that there's some level of uncertainty and Tomlin is giving one final week of practice to decide. What I know is that Tomlin REALLY likes Pickett. A lot! So, I'd say it's 90% Trubisky.
The best thing I’ve observed happened during the last preseason game. Pickett slung a pass deep over the middle. Incomplete by fingertips. Trubisky and Rudolph exploded off the sideline in anticipation of the big play. Great to see that all 3 are invested in group success not individual achievement.
Not sure if this has been posted yet but here's a great breakdown of Pickett's two games by Kurt Warner.
The winner....
CBS is saying Pickett is the #2. It was an error that MR was listed #2 on the depth chart. Sorry if this was already posted.
