Injuries and a bad O line will turn any RB into a Benny Snail. I don’t blame the pick tho, RB was a huge need. Unfortunately we have needs everywhere. O line especially, our most talented position (wr) has a bunch of underperforming divas. It does seem like RBs dominating for 5-8 years like Payton, Dorsett, Emmitt etc are a thing of the past. Kamara, the wife beater from Chiefs who went to Browns and a handful of others look great for a couple of years then nothing. So I get the concept of not wasting a first rounder on one. Steelers thought they had their Derrick Henry though.

I am a firm believer that you only draft a RB in the 1st round if he is something very special(Sanders, Tomlinson, Payton, Campbell...).

I know there's a lot of negativity around here, but is anyone still drinking the Najee kool-aid - that he is a factor back? If so, what do you see that I'm not? I'll admit that he usually has one, maybe two decent plays a game. Not game-changing, just decent. Otherwise it's 2-3 yards. He is Trent Richardson 2.0.

Good blocker, good in the pass game, hard runner. That’s all I got. I’m still not convinced he’s getting a “good shot” behind this o-Line and this offensive coordinator. There’s no reason this guy should be running parallel to the Los.

He has very good hands. He's a good RB2.

If we didn't have a retarded offense that bunched everything up close to the line of scrimmage, he'd probably be doing much better as both a runner and a receiver. Everybody looks terrible in this offense.

I suspect he's probably a decent RB, not spectacular but a solid starter. But you can't tell anything about the WRs and RBs, it's all mush.

In a better offense, his refusal to be tackled, fearless style of play, and leadership would make him a fan favorite and message board darling.

While Harris will likely never rip-off explosive runs on a regular basis, I think he can be a pretty good NFL back.

But, he will always be dinged by that. You don't draft RBs in the first round to be solid but unspectacular. Well...when your not desperate you don't...
