I agree with you 100%. Haley took a lot of grief but he succeeded in getting Ben to get rid of the ball quicker whenever possible which reduced the number of hits/sacks he was taking (which kept him alive..lol) AND they reached the point where they scored the most points per game that we've ever seen.
Steelers,best offense in the NFL?
If they are just in the top 10 in yards and points with a low total of turnovers,it would be very unexpected!
Of course, they can be top 10 in points scored if our defense creates a lot of turnovers and our offense is opportunistic in that, like the bears in 2018 with Trubisky as QB, but that's the only way I see it in this moment....I hope to be surprised at the end of the season!
Pickens looks to be the real deal. If he's as good as he's showing he can be in training camp, this offense could be deadly. Najee, Muth, DJ, and Pickens, that's already a good amount of weapons for any offense. If claypool backs up his talk, and also austin can contribute, watch the hell out. That's enough weapons to carry Mitch to the pro bowl again
Good game tonight!
6.9 yards per run for 185 yards help too!
Run game had 185 yards. The offense scored 4TDs and 1 2pt conversion. All through the air.
I did like the way the offense was able to move the ball for the most part. However, the OL allowed all 3 QBs to take some hard hits. That has to improve before next week.
I don't put too much value on the final score in these scrimmages, but it does feel good to start off with a win anyway.
This offense could be scary good if the QB works out. The amount of weapons they have can potentially rival the Killer B's era (Johnson, Pickens, Claypool, Freiermuth, Harris)
The offensive line ran block well. Still some pass protection issues, but a lot of guys rotating in with the 2's and 3's. Hassenauer, Chazz Green, Joe Haeg, Scott, Leglue all got their reps.
Do you agree with this?
