At least it’s not Malik Willis...
So many more options...well...let’s go Kenny!!
Kenny Do It!!
1. Graham Barton, C, Duke 2. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida 3. Maason Smith, DT, LSU 3. Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 4. Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame 6. Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, Ohio State 6. MJ Devonshire, CB, Pittsburgh
Great. A guy who struggles with pressure and needs a superior offensive scheme to succeed. That doesn't sound like the Steelers...
Well I’m shocked, but happy to see this.
For those i love i will sacrifice.
Si ventus non est, remiga
1. Graham Barton, C, Duke 2. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida 3. Maason Smith, DT, LSU 3. Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 4. Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame 6. Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, Ohio State 6. MJ Devonshire, CB, Pittsburgh
way to make yourself forgettable Colbert.................
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles problem now
Front office got their guy, I have no problem with it
I don’t know about you guys but now that Pickett is a Steeler, he’s gonna be the next …
AARON RODGERS!!!
Lets go KENNY!!!
Love it
KNOCKIN ON 7'S DOOR!
This is the exact nonsense thinking that drives me up a wall about NFL teams...
Sign Trubisky to be your "bridge" and then draft a QB whose best quality you can talk about is his "pro ready" nature because of the style of offense he was in? The offense that it took him 5 years to flourish in?
WTF is the point of a "bridge QB" if your priority is a draft QB who can play "now" but has a low overall ceiling?
Sign the "bridge to nowhere QB" so you can take the bigger swing on one of the QBs in the class who has actual upside to develop into something beyond Ryan Tannehill with gloves.
obviously the Steelers don’t think he has a low overall ceiling
My question is will those gloves work in the rain?
So basically paying Trubisky back up money to come in and compete for a starting job. If Pickett beats him out, you have a quality backup. Seahawks did it similar with Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn...maybe it works out...lol.
I guess if we try to be positive about them selecting a QB, he appears to be most ready to play out of all the slop that is out there.
Could have traded back and STILL gotten him. Not many (any?) QBs are going to go in the next ten picks.
I’m wrong all the time on QBs so Pickett will be a star.
But QBs need a superpower trait and his is staying in school.
Fantastic. Make one pre snap read and then take off. Ask Baker how that works in the NFL.
Embarrassing pick. Possibly worse than the Artie Burns pick.
Why do the Ravens seem like they have a stellar draft every fn season?
The Ravens just took the guy the Steelers should have drafted - Tyler Linderbaum.
We could have gotten Corral or Howell in the 2nd round.

It wasn’t the pick I expected but the FO heavily scouted this QB class. If he was their guy then I have faith it’ll work out
How is this better than what the Steelers have on the roster now? Hopefully he is lights out, but I am leaning more towards journeyman QB. It is a bad draft pool for QBs.
Hater = Realist
I simply question the upside of Pickett. I felt they would have drafted Willis(due to reports/rumors) but he is no where near ready to be a NFL QB, and it may never happen. But the upside was there.
We'll see what happens. Pickett was impressive in his last season, but that is the thing, just one year of production as a 5th year senior.
1. Graham Barton, C, Duke 2. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida 3. Maason Smith, DT, LSU 3. Max Melton, CB, Rutgers 4. Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame 6. Tommy Eichenberg, ILB, Ohio State 6. MJ Devonshire, CB, Pittsburgh
Well, I would say he will be starting before his first season is over so we should know by this time next year if we need to draft another QB or not.
This makes the Trubisky signing looks even worse in hindsight, but then again, so one expected Dwayne Haskins to cease existance by this time either. The Steelers' QB room is now Mason Rudolph, and a more expensive Mason Rudolph.
I think if Haskins is still on this planet, Pickett doesn't get drafted tonight.
Trubisky is being paid $4.5 million per season…
SUMMATION:
It’s not surprising that a QB was drafted…
