Update: Dwayne Haskins was walking on I-595 for reasons that are currently unknown, and tried to cross lanes with oncoming traffic and was struck by a dump truck, per the Florida Highway Patrol.

What a shame. I don't know anything about the area he was in, but I heard he was walking on I-595 when he was hit by a dump truck. Died at scene. Prayers to family.
Ran out of gas, by reports.
This young man was a son, husband, brother, uncle, cousin, friend. We should keep that in mind while commenting.
RIP, Mr. Haskins.
What a tragedy. Sad.
Just read he was trying to cross I-595 near Miami. That road is almost always heavily traveled. He should have exited the side he was on and looked for an underpass. RIP kid.
Oh My! As an Ohio State fan, He was ..... well... he was. I'm really sorry to hear this news. RIP Dwayne. Just.... wow.
There are so many Twitter tributes, I would be here all day posting them. Needless to say, all of them remarked about his infectious personality, and drive to be better. His teammates and coaches are devasted, shocked, and overcome with grief about losing a a cherished friend so suddenly and tragically.
That is all that needs to be said.
Fly with the angels, young man.

I know, right. Will Smith is at my door…
When Haskins signed with the Steelers, some people had the misconception that Haskins was let go by Washington because he was a bad egg. As was mentioned back then, everyone LOVED Haskins, especially his coaches. (He just seemed disinterested in actually playing football. Not rude about it… pleasant even.) Anyway, if you look through Twitter, you’ll see HUNDREDS of people saying nice things about him. Truly a good person.
Speaking of Twitter, Lamar Jackson ripped Adam Schefter a new one.
