Steelers could have had him for that trading price, oh well, now we have to face two mobile QB's Lamar and Watson twice a year.
The Browns must have gone back to Watson and upped their new contract offer to get him to change his mind.
My opinion is that is an insane amount of guaranteed $$$ for a guy who still has some legal issues, will still probably get suspended at some point, and has sat out a whole year already.

Give the Houston front office credit for waiting this whole thing out as long as they did............and it is rare when Houston's front office deserves credit !!
They stuck to their premise all along, which I thought was nuts, that they wanted 3 first round picks for Watson and were not going to accept less. I figured at some point they would have to settle for much less (maybe a first and a single 2nd rounder)........but they got what they wanted.
Now, if Trubisky somehow outperforms Watson over the next couple years, the reaction from Browns fans will be priceless at that point in time.
I must be missing something. I just don't see how Watson is that good. Houston hasn't sniffed SB or a champ game right?

4-12, I'd think a $230million QB would do better than 4 wins on nearly any team.

Nobody is as good as Mahomes. It’s a copy cat league, they’re getting rid of their Goff and acquired their version of Stafford. Stafford never elevated the Lions either.

I have been a Mahomes fan since before it was popular to be one ( use this board as reference as my twitter account is long gone ) with all that said look at Watsons 2020 season with inferior weapons to what Mahomes has
..
in 2020 Watson was statistically better with far inferior weapons ...
so in short Watson has the ability to be as good as Mahomes as he has done it with less in the past .... the question is can he do it consistently with a team that is going to be short handed weapons wise moving forward because of giving up 3 first round picks plus a 3rd and 4th and 230 million fully guaranteed dollars that will hurt their ability to make up for the loss of draft picks in free agency ....
so to say he isnt good or in the category of a Goff is nonsensical IMO

Ben was never charged, let alone went before a grand jury. One weak civil suit and one unsubstantiated, drunken accusation was enough for the league to suspend Ben for 8 games. Cleveland just sold the farm. They don't have a round 1 draft pick for the next 3 drafts, regardless of the outcome.

Anyone who doubts Watson's ability to play QB in the NFL at a ridiculously high level just isn't paying attention.
I've check the stats I agree, watched some YouTube. Apparently I don't watch many Houston games.
If Steelers did this I'd still be Leary. If he suspended a whole year it'll be sitting out 2 seasons.
With our current roster he could take us to a SB or 2 but there would be no money left to keep the rest of the team moving
