I could see this but with a draft pick at #20 (say Ridder) learning for a year behind Mason. That gives Mason a fair shot to start and proven himself. Yes I know he got 2019 but that was without a training camp and a completely different system. That said he is still going to suck but I would not be shocked to see the Steelers do it. And like 86Ward said, if they are using the time to build all the other parts of the team up I'll take a bad year of MR while they find the next QB. I just don't want to live through another 1984 to 2004 situation.
