Link? Where did u hear about this?
Who?
I will be in shock if that happens, but I hope it does.
He had a great boxing career as well ... oh, sorry that was Riddick Bowe.
That doesn't mean he forgot how football works or that he doesn't know how to spot talent. But I'm sure it will stay in-house, got to keep everything on the back-porch in it's place. At least they are going through the motions, for whatever that's worth.Originally Posted by NCSteeler;794936[B

Yeah. The team’s draft, trade, and FA track record is awful.
I’d hate to promote from within and end up with another decade or two of Colbert like performance. Would be a real hinderance to success.
What are you afraid of? I'm not talking about Colbert. Just saying looking beyond your back porch for any hire. No one is saying you shouldn't hire from within, but be open minded enough and do some homework. That's all. I think they could have done better than fitchner and Butler. Don't you?
No. I don’t.
As long as Ben was playing, they were running the Ben offense. The one season Fichtner ran that with a healthy Ben was pretty good. Then we got 3 seasons of bad QB play across 2 OCs that looked similar because the QB was injured or diminished. Fichtner kinda sucks but no one was gonna make the last two years look good.
Whether it’s been Butler or Tomlin, there’s been defensive performance I’d put up against any coach you can name.
If I can’t have Colbert, I want the guy he’s been training to continue his almost unbelievable record of success.
I like Hunt. He’s run the past two drafts, and he coordinated the trade for Minkah.
That said, if we can get two R3 comp picks for Hunt and end up with Riddick, I wouldn’t be upset in the least (obviously).
I thought he’d already interviewed. Is this a second?

I’d be happy with Riddick.
Hot take.
Why are we waiting until after the draft to replace the GM.
Why not hire lois now and maybe want you involved in these years evaluation?
Because if Colbert picks all the players and leaves right after, Riddick or who ever the successor is will have be working with someone else's pieces.
Awesome! Griese is now a QB coach, Riddick a GM so we don’t have to listen to horrible espn telecast. Hopefully Levy sticks to hockey.
he's reportedly not getting a second interview.

I am also out of the running. Just to put that out there.
Louis Riddick is known because of him being a commentator but I don’t see why he would be a better GM than the others. I can’t name one successful GM that was famous beforehand as something else.
Mike Mayock was also a commentator before a GM and the Steelers fleeced him with the AB trade.
I would like to see either the Tampa guy or the Philly guy. Omar Kahn is the numbers guy. I’m not sure about him as a talent evaluator.
