This article from this site's homepage. Talk about your really screwed scenarios for the Steelers. Your franchise needs to find a new coaching staff, general manager, QB, and mostly rebuild the OL. Best of luck. What FAs are coming to that mess?

I don't know about Norv, but I always liked Wade Phillips i think he could make the Defense here better.

Offer Dennis Allen a small fortune to come in as DC, and don't let Tomlin make the calls!

    Re: Coach Cuts?

Some well regarded coaches and staffs got stomped this weekend.

Billy B’s defense didn’t force even one punt on the way to 7 TDs.

Mike McCarthy bungled multiple things. That’s to be expected. But the Dallas OC having zero answers for three quarters?

Kingsbury and company certainly haven’t stumbled on much of anything tonight.

A hyped Eagles brain trust went pffftttt.

Maybe the expanded playoff field just created silly mismatches?

It amazes me the people who believe that wholesale firings is going to take the Steelers to the promised land. Look at what Canada was dealt. 39 year old QB, new OL, ( that he’d never seen before) and a new running back. I will be the first to call for his resignation a year from now, but I would like to see what Canada can do with a full season under his belt. This crowd here wants to fire everyone. Please tell me what team that ever worked out for.

You think butler would be a wholesale firing? He has been talking about retirement and playing golf everyday for years. And there is this on Canada, for what its worth.

I would NOT like to see what Canada can do, even with Aaron Rodgers at QB. No first-half touchdowns in 7 of the last 8 games. INEXCUSABLE!

    how he wasn't ....

    A) fired mid season

    or

    B) stripped of play calling duties

is beyond me , esp when the no huddle and muddle huddle worked so well with Ben seemingly making the calls ... that is when we would achieved half or more of our yardage in 10% of the plays ...

it should have been crystal clear going into a single elimination tournament called the playoffs that our only chance at Victory vs a high powered offense would be to possess the ball for extended periods of time and Limit Mahomes's opportunities ...instead we continued with the same failed and flawed logic that got us into deep deficits all season long ...

I just do not get the logic in all that

Tomlin also said "while he doesn't "anticipate" any staff changes, he won't be "surprised" by any."

    Right?

Also...might be wise to focus on the other things that are not being said by players and coaches. Everyone took DJ's comments as a direct indictment of Canada. There is a way to read them that they are the comments of a player frustrated over OL and QB play...

Just as some of Tomlin's recent comments over the past few days seem to really skirt the line of disparaging his offensive line and Qb...OR...you can see them as attempts to evade blaming Canada. Really possible to read these quotes however we each want to.

You can say that again. I'd just like to know how many players really lost their eyelids.

No, but an endorsement goes beyond that. I'd expect Canada to get an extension.

That's the part of pissing me off. If you're game plan obviously isn't working and no changes are made then you've accepted losing. There is nothing LEFT to lose at that point, you try something different. Even if it fails, you're no worse off. To simply keep trotting players out there to keep attempting the same lame plays game after game with the results being exactly the same is almost criminal.
