If the football is thrown out front of him, then he has to keep running for it going forwards. If the ball is repeatedly under thrown, then he has to turn around to try and catch it.
So the fix is simple. The QB throws a pass to "lead the receiver" and he doesnt end up having to turn his body to catch it.
Idk if the players are bad or we just can't scheme them open , coach them up. Idk , but I see nobodies on other teams wide open catching passes.

Basically we have a whole room full of receivers (Claypool, Johnson, Washington) who are capable of making huge plays and circus catches, and who also make terrible mistakes or disappear for entire games at a time.
"Amazing raw talent, needs coaching to fully develop." Where have I seen that before, it's almost like it's a theme on this team or something.
I guess we'll see if any of these guys are still around by the time we have a QB who can make some throws, and whether that helps anything. But in the meantime, Juju and McCloud may be our most consistent players, and we'll have to revolving-door the others like we always do. This may be the same old problem we had at other positions in the past, guys still playing like rookies when they're not rookies anymore. Who's our WR coach?
See you Space Cowboy ...
We definitely need a few things:
1 - Scheme then open, our schemes suck completely
2 - Better QB play (whether it is OL or old arm)
3 - Coaching them up more
If we can fix 1 and 2 I think 3 takes care of itself honestly.
