Wow. It’s Wednesday and nothing. Normally it’s a Monday (maybe Tuesday) thread. Very different from season’s past.
My take is…well, I don’t know. In the past three games the Ravens offense has been anemic. A total of 42 points. They scored 10 against the Phins, and 16 twice on the Bears and Stains. That’s rather poor. I know the Steelers D is not up to normal standards, but I still expect this to be a hard-fought contest. Both teams have a lot to lose on Sunday. A Pittsburgh loss puts them at 5-6-1 and will make it tough to get a spot in the post-season. A Ravens loss will put them at 8-4. If the Pats beat the Bills they’ll be 9-4 and if the Bills win then all three teams plus the Titans will be 8-4. And if the Bengals beat the Chargers at home in Cincy (I think likely), they will be 8-4 with the tiebreaker for now.
If the Ravens D plays like they did against the Brownies it could be tough on the Steelers O. But if they come out against the Steelers and give up big chunk yardage plays like the previous two weeks, it may get ugly.
What’s your take?
