I mean if we are gonna sign a guy based on 1 catch from several years ago maybe we can talk Canaan Severin into coming back to the team ?
yes this kid was a steeler for a cup of coffee and never played a snap that I can recall ...
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar
Looks like he will be released this week, but I am a solid meh on him. I doubt we will even pursue him honestly, we are not really lacking in WR talent and have a decent one warning the bench with Washington already.
the Browns just reworked his deal into a signing bonus to enable his release ..... look that team was awfully motivated to get rid of him , if that doesnt sound alarm bells off across the league I am not sure what will

New Orleans will probably get him. They do need a WR. Maybe they can give him Joe Horn's sharpie.
Hard pass. Not like they need him anyway
I am not a fan of bringing OBJ in. I don't think he does much for this roster.
Interesting thing that gets lost in all the noise of this release is how what OBJ does well (get open intermediate and deep) has just never meshed with what the Browns/Baker do well (short and screen stuff).
Dude needs to go somewhere where he can pair with a big armed QB in an offensive system that likes their deep shots. I bet he would look totally revitalized in a place like Buffalo, Baltimore, Seattle, or something along those lines.
For me, the lesson that I see over and over again, is that NFL FA's sign for the $$$ and just do not think about scheme and system fit. Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense is not good at all the things that got Beckham drafted and that he found success in the NFL doing.
If he would have signed with a system that was aligned with his skills; I suspect he would have flourished. Now his body is breaking down and he has a poor recent track record.
1. with what money
2. we got receivers out the butt
See you Space Cowboy ...
I see him going to the Packers, Raiders, Rams or Chiefs. For mostly obvious reasons.
1000 yards isnt a great season any longer ..... its a good season thats it ... its the passing era and more games now than when it was the gold standard ..
we dont play 12 games anymore , we dont play 14 games any more and we no longer play 16 games at some point fan bases have to adjust the numbers to what they really mean and quit using the diluted old standard of 1000 yards rushing and or receiving when the season is now 45% longer than it was when those numbers where coined as Milestones ..
his first 3 years were very good years since then he has mustard a couple good years but also 3 seasons that he didnt put up 320 yards ..
he got paid as if he was the best in the game when he was never really close to that and again his attitude makes him less valuable than league min to me , granted that is to me and I dont have much if any influence on NFL franchises but if I did I wouldnt touch this cat

It’s all probably a moot point. We’re somewhere in the 20s on the waiver wire. The Lions could claim him and it’s all over.
FWIW, My theory is that dude can count. Knows the Browns gotta either pay Baker or another QB. He's an obvious place to go for cap $$$. Also knows, for whatever reason, he's not making splashy plays in Cleveland. So he's gonna need another contract. Wants big money. Doesn't have big money recent tape. So he engineers his way out. Puts #1 WR plays out there and gets that last big contract.
If so, I get it.
A few years ago, Tomlin yawned when asked about playing OBJ twice a season.
(You can deduce the rest…)
