Most likely! Maybe he will decide he's starter material and start calling himself Burrito?

It sucks he soured because his depth was nice to have.

I read somewhere that we traded Ebron but he couldn't even catch a flight.

idk for me I would have kept him at that price .... why trade away quality depth for next to nothing , sure he felt like he was a "hostage" cry me a river you signed the contract knowing the pieces we had on the team betting on yourself and lost man up for the last half of the season and negotiate with another team next year and maybe you have better evaluation skills of your roster compitition
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar

I tend to agree with this. If you're going to get so little in return for a decent player, why even bother making a trade. The only way it makes any sense is if he was being such an asshole about it that it was negatively affecting the team. But then fuck it, just suspend the douche.

There must not have been much of a market for him if that is the best they could get. Trade him to an AFC team that the Steelers still have to play this season??

But if a guy is going to be a pouting malcontent in the locker room, then I am all good in shipping him off for a draft pick. Vince Williams was a 6th round pick. Tre Norwood was a 7th round pick. I am thinking of Shoes and projecting Kemore Gamble, TE from Florida with this pick in the 6th round.

It’s Melvin Ingram. There wasn’t a big market for him when he was a free agent…don’t think many teams are scared of playing him…lol

Maybe not, but I thought he was impactful with the snaps that he got as a Steeler. He just didnt seem to have the fitness to be playing the majority of the snaps as a starter, like when Watt got hurt.

    Anyways, its Taco Tuesday!!

Play the scenario all the way out. Force Ingram to stay on the roster. Assume he's not a total jerk and gives you minimal but serviceable snaps at OLB moving forward. Now it is the end of the season. Ingram is out of there and never looking back. The low amount of snaps he played and his age mean his FA deal isn't a big one...so maybe a 6th round comp pick?

Or, trade him now. Roll with the Taco buffet and get your comp pick for sure.

All that is missing is like, what, 100 some odd snaps on defense from the rest of this season...

Well, even the 6th round pick from the Chiefs is apparently conditional. So it's still kind of like the uncertainty of a comp pick, but without having him for depth all season.

I wonder what the condition is. That he won't bitch about playing time?

I hadn't seen that reported anywhere. But I also didn't look.

I still figure that Colbert did well to get something for a basically totally depreciated asset.

I think we would have been more than happy to keep him for depth rather than getting a 6th, but it was a not wanting hostages situation.

It's always possible the conditions go UP from a 6th...

    I agree.

I thought they would get at least a 5th for him.
