Mason is less mobile than Ben??? Now that's funny!

His accuracy and arm strength look fine - improved, looks like he's getting better at reading coverages. He's not Steve young but he can move around the pocket as need be. Not saying he should replace Ben at this point but he looks like a viable backup and not a bad replacement in case the need arises .

Mason has happy feet in the pocket.
I would much rather have a QB who isn't currently on our roster.
Ask, and ye shall receive.
We all knew it was coming sooner or later. Good to see what we have when we know QB is a position getting replaced next year
I'll get this out now. I did want to see Mason. I still do. BUT...I would've preferred to see him with a full practice slate to prep.
But that's not the life of a backup QB.
Did I hear somewhere that he played in college with James Washington?
Quarterback is a major question mark going into 2022, time to see what the Steelers have on hand going forward.
Welp, we wanted Mason and got him. He's the same dude he's always been. Very unremarkable. Will have his moments but will not seize the opportunities.
Gotta draft a QB in the next offseason.
If anyone wasn't sure what the real problem was with our offense, it's the OC. Different QB and he's got 20 completions and still only has 140 yards. The problem ISN'T Ben. REALTY check: This offense never scored more points than they did with Haley as OC
Is Landry Jones available?

So, do we still think that Mason is as good as Ben? I mean today's Ben? I don't.
Ben most likely wins that game
I don’t get why you’d be dumbfounded. We saw almost a full season of this mess before. We saw with Mason, we see it with Ben and we see it with Mason. It’s clearly not an offense that does that…
Really, the only difference I noticed in the play calling was there was no shotgun draws today.
Why in the world would Aaron Rogers want to play for this mess?
Besides. Belichick already has the contract ready to sign in his sock drawer.

This is a very ugly opinion for most people, although we did have Brown, Bell and Bryant at the time. I also know I've whinged on and on about this subject in the past but regardless of all that, if your offense scores 42 points and your team still loses then your problem ain't your OC or your offense, and I'd like to blame the whole thing on Mike Mitchell.

Look, Rudolph didn't look great today except for the first drive. I think there are some reasons for that.
He's not an uber-talented QB. He's just not.
He was playing on a team with a lot of players out today.
The weather got awful, particularly from the second quarter on.
His lack of great arm strength with wind and rain always gives limited QB's a difficult day. This is why Ben and other QB's that play in bad-weather cities in outdoor stadiums are that much more impressive with what they accomplish over their careers. You have to be able to drive the ball in the cold, wind, rain, and snow.....and be able to do it consistently. You also need to be able to throw with touch when called for to make the ball more catchable. Not an easy feat for mortal men.
I think he's better than he looked today, but in this offense and in this weather while undermanned....it's a big ask to expect him to play extremely well.
Canada continuing to run jet sweeps for negative plays to put the offense in a whole is getting infuriating. I mean, this guy is calling this stuff on 2nd and 1, and they lose 4 yards and make it 3rd and 5. I don't understand his obsession with that play when other things are working. I don't know if Tomlin told him to swallow that play at halftime, but at least we didn't have to see it in the second half.
Some of the down-and-distance play calls are real headscratchers.
