So would we likely move Maulet back to the PS? Is there any rule about how long a player has to stay on the 53 when moved up from the PS? Or does that not apply preseason?

Dulac and several other Steelers Twitter folks have all been reporting/speculating that Joseph is on the active roster as soon as he is COVID legal.

Joseph is a 5 year NFL veteran. He isn't going to "develop" on the practice squad. If they didn't have plans for him on the 53 man roster...they wouldn't have done the deal.

Because the linked article mentioned "numerous other reports indicating" as the starting point for why scout a PS player. Every blog without press credentials is regurgitating other people's updates. 90% of NFL content is taking something from somewhere else and repurposing it.

All I really read Bryan's stuff for is the salary cap and CBA related roster maneuvers. Clearly he gets the information/data from a variety of other places, but he is usually far more accurate on cap status, who can and can not be eligible for this or that roster status, etc. than any other Steelers specific site I have found.

dont they have to release somebody, have them clear waivers and then sign to the PS? That being said, they have an excess of D linemen and more likely RB like Snell that could be released to make room.

I still dont think they go into the season with only 8 O linemen. I think there still may be a move to be made so there are 9 O linemen on the 53.

PS only has 15 on it currently , this must have been in the works a lil while , maybe not this specific player but they knew they was adding someone so kept PS spot open for whomever they released
