    53 predictions

    Offense

    QB- Ben, Haskins, Dobbs (3)
RB- Harris, McFarland, Ballage, Edmunds (4)
    FB- Watt (1)
WR- Johnson, Smith-Schuster, Claypool, Washington, McCloud (5)
    TE- Freiermuth, Ebron, Gentry (3)
    T- Okorafor, Banner, Moore (3)
G- Dotson, Turner, Finney, Coward (4)
    C- Green, Hassenauer (2)

    (25)

    Defense

    NT- AluAlu, Buggs, (2)
DE- Heyward, Tuitt, Wormley, Mondeaux, Loudermilk (5)
OLB- Watt, Highsmith, Ingram, Marsh (4)
ILB- Bush, Schobert, Spillane, Allen, Johnson (5)
CB- Haden, Sutton, Pierre, Layne, Free Agent/Trade (5)
    FS- Fitzpatrick, Norwood (2)
    SS- Edmunds, Killebrew (2)

    (25)

    Specialists

    K- Boswell (1)
    P- Berry (1)
    LS- Canaday (1)

    (3)

It's quite possible MR isn't playing in the finale because they are ensuring he's healthy, so he has a chance to sign with someone else.

I chose to keep Edmunds as the final RB because I like his ability to do different things. He looked decent as an H-back, as well as being a lead blocker. He's also solid on STs.

I like what Gentry has done in the preseason and I think he has improved enough to get the nod over Rader.

The secondary was the hardest to choose. I do believe they will add a corner or safety. If they happen to add a safety then I believe Norwood goes to the PS.

I don't believe Harvin has done enough to boot Berry. Could easily see this going either way, but Berry was lights out against the Lions, so I'm sticking to my guns there.

I like em all, except I say Rudolph in Dobbs out. I like your rb’s as well but think Snell gets a spot over Edmunds. Tomlin thinks Snell is a successful short yardage guy, and he’s right to certain extent. First and 10 snell good to get that yard.

I have one more spot and I'm not sure who to add. I'll guess it's an outsider player. If not, one of Roche, Shakur Brown, or Sexton(Returner)

Ballage is clearly the second best RB on the roster. There’s no way he’s not on the final roster when all is said and done.

On a side note: the fact that the roster is still only 53 plus a practice squad is ridiculous considering there is one extra game.

Ballage probably is the 2nd best running back on the roster but I still predict McFarland to get more touches. I think they will try to utilize McFarland's speed and get him more involved. Hopefully, Ballage can be the spell back/short yardage guy.

    Tuitt has an undisclosed injury.

we may have to carry an extra DL until he is ready to play again.

Jordan Berry could have some trade value. Raiders could be interested. Josh Dobbs may interest some teams as well.

Mike Tomlin brought Stefan Logan when asked about Matthew Sexton. I hope Sexton can return a punt or kickoff a long way. Would be nice to see him get opportunities at receiver as well.

I think at least one player who is not on the roster today makes the final 53, wither an offensive tackle or a defensive back.

I’m not sure what we learned tonight.

Berry looked good but I don’t know if Harvin wasn’t.

Snell is useless but I don’t know if he loses his job.

Sexton is definitely gone. He sucked balls.

Haskins was slightly less bad than Dobbs... when he was given a chance to play against 8th stringers.

Norwood sucked but he’ll probably still make the team.

For the life of me I couldn’t tell you if Roche or Marsh did anything to beat out the other.

    Spillane still sucks in coverage

We learned if Ben goes down we’re going 7-10, Rudolph is number 2 for sure at this point. We learned our backup ILB’s arent very good, but looking back last 7-8 years always big drop off when starter out. not sure what we learned with RB situation, I still think Samuels and Snell should be cut, but like another mentioned I think Tomlin likes snell for some reason. We have Solid starters although O line is a question mark but lack of depth is obvious. Fingers crossed theres no major injuries this year.

so we can't fire Canada and trade James Washington and declare the entire 2021 draft a bust and belly ache over tik tok and tweets?

Brown and Sexton have now been cut. But Roche is still in the mix.

Does anyone know if the Steelers still have practices before the final cut down? Or do the coaches now have all the information they’re going to get?

I’m sure somebody in that mix can long snap, and Ben can hold (for extra points only). Also the advantage is Ben holding makes it easier for fakes leading to two point conversations. In fact while we’re scoring TDs on every possession, do we even need to bother with extra points? Just go for two every time. Guess we still need Boz for kickoffs.

I hear the Steelers are hiring consultants who think outside the box. You should pitch your idea.

The long-snapper will be James Harrison… who will be cloned and play all eleven defensive positions.

Why did I not think of going for 2 points EVERY time!?! You’re hired as my offensive coordinator.

    I’ll take it!

The key to success is avoiding the stupidity traps of my predecessors. No Fichtner/Haley dink and dunk/bubble screens. No Arians long developing plays downfield that the O-line can’t protect for. And with no RBs, three yards and a clown of dust is definitely out.

I think I’ll start drawing up some creative QB sneaks that the cowards before me were too scared to try.
