People in the NFL are reacting to Tim Tebow likely returning to the NFL. And people whose job it is to react to the reactions of people in the NFL are reacting to the reaction. And the reaction isn’t ideal.
Steelers linebacker Devin Bush posted a tweet complaining about Tim Tebow getting a job in the NFL before Colin Kaepernick. The full tweet from Bush is pasted below, so that folks can interpret the content and the emojis however they see fit.




My thoughts... Maybe Urban Meyer is surrounding himself with familiar players in his first NFL Coaching season.

I personally don't care who is and is not in the NFL. I do think it is absolutely hilarious and ridiculous how GMs contort themselves to convince us all their actions have these deep thought out origins. The entire league just spent the whole draft process complaining that it was really hard to draft guys that hadn't played in a year. But then multiple teams considered or at least watched a guy who hasn't played in how long work out at another position....because he is gritty?

Tebow isn't back in the NFL without Urban Meyers, that is the truth. Maybe Kaep should've played better(1-11 in last 12 starts), or maybe simply have more respect around the league??? his buddy with the 49ers, Eric Reid had no problem getting on a team until his play completely dropped off.

This. Kaeperstink sucked which is why he never got another job. I mean the most liberal city in the world cut him. Oh and he's a race hustling asshole that grew up in privilege. Oh and Tebow is playing TE not QB. And last time I checked it's May and the season doesn't start until September. Tebow probably won't make the team and if he does it will be as a backup/ST guy. Is Kaeperstink willing to play ST?

No one would sign Kaepernick to be a massive distraction and play ST. Backup QBs like Tebow and Kaepernick are both not worth the distraction. When was the last time a TE3 caused a major controversy for a team?

The Tebow signing was smart in that it takes focus off Lawrence going into his rookie season. Tebow, Trey Lance and Fields have all had more press than Lawrence who is under the radar somehow.

I agree but really it's not even about that. If Russ or Mahomes were leading BLM marches they would still get signed. Kaepernick ended his career by going 20 games in a row without scoring 30 points. During that span he averaged 16 ppg.

It's just people creating the strawman that Kaepernick is a legitimate NFL starter who is only kept out of the NFL because of his politics not his ability.

Kaepernick's ability did not outweigh the distraction he causes. On the Steelers James Harrison said a lot of inappropriate things like he wouldn't piss on Goodell if he were on fire. Harrison also gave his then GF now wife a black eye in a domestic dispute. Thing is Harrison was DPOY and an elite player. Chris Rainey got cut for being on the wrong side of a rope at a casino...

What really needs to happen is 11 year-olds being used as slaves in sweat shops in Vietnam and China need to step up their production so Nike gets more money to spend on Kaepernick.
