Don’t mind the pick. Solid TE at PSU.

Really wanted Humphrey but happy with this pick as well.

Need to get a center in Round 3. Trade up to get one??

I know I said I wanted a center in round 2, but I absolutely love this pick. Freiermuth is the truth! He will help the running game. You can take that to the bank!

I like the pick, our TE's have always sucked ever since Heath left. I see that changing soon!

Unexpected! I guess we value TE in Canada's offense.

The kid is a player, but still not in love with this pick. Still we got a very good player, and I still think we will get a C,,,,, just not the one I wanted.

It makes sense. Our TE situation we either have a TE in there that can block but has terrible hands, or a guy that can stretch the defense but is a turnstile in the blocking game. This kid can do both. I'd say it's a win if this guy is a long-term starter. Not a flashy pick or highest need, but I see it being an effective one

I think this pick is a great compliment to the Najee Harris pick.

    100. He takes the playaction game to another level, especially in the RZ.

Look up his numbers in the red zone at Penn St......they are ridiculously good.

That's what we need. This team has been incredibly bad in the red zone, how they have a power RB who can get it done, and a big target for Ben (and next QB) at TE. I like it.

Sure C is the biggest need, but I think this is a classic Colbert pick (BPA)

I’m happy! The TE position is should be set for a good 10 years.

Here’s my issue with it. People seem to think Friermuth is Kittle or Gronkowski or Kelce. He doesn’t look as explosive or powerful as those two to me. He looks more like Kyle Rudolph. Like he will be nice and all, but I don’t see the game changer the internet seems to think.

    Again, I’m usually wrong.

The Rudolph comparison is solid. He'll make his living in the red zone.

    He is not "baby Gronk"

I haven’t seen anyone say he compares to those guys. I’d take a Kyle Rudolph any day. He’s pretty solid.

They just need to address the O-Line.

I just think Freiermuth has the potential to be a TE that can outmuscle safeties and LBs in the passing game, as well as the running game. That's a commodity that not a lot of TEs can claim. It may take 1 or 2 NFL offseasons for him to reach his potential, but the sky is the limit for Freiermuth

He absolutely points the arrow to the running game upward.

Wow, had no idea Ryan Grigson was hired by the Steelers FO. Wonder how long his hiring was kept from the public. Seriously, the top center in the class falls to pick 55, they have a serious need at the position, and they draft a TE instead. It's quite sad that Mike f-ing Brown figured out the importance of offensive line before this team. Yep, we got a bunch of skill position players, too bad they have no offensive line to block for them

I’m going to be the first to root for the guy. I would’ve rather had a LB or OL.

BUT...there’s a lot of drafting left.

    No, he isn't Baby Gronk.

He can make more athletic plays than many are giving him credit for. He catches everything thrown at him and is a big-bodied guy that will always be open. He will be a willing blocker, and the quarterback's best friend.

I'll take a complete TE that is a factor in all phases of the game any day over a move TE. They are a factor on every play, not just on passing downs.

I don’t hate the pick, but they literally had their choice of the top centers this draft, so there is that.
