If this kid's on field production goes well...he's gonna be a big $$$ star in the NFL. That personable without being cliched or mean? Few 20 somethings can pull off being a "real" interview.
The one where he talked about how big Banner is was pretty good too.
I see the media giving him the JuJu treatment at some point, though. Najee came into Pittsburgh with a "marketing team" in place already. One slip up and I see the love affair ending. Hope the kid is ready.
Yup, somebody should ask Lolley "I heard you ask a Steelers rookie a really dumb question....do you think it would be worth all our while if you went back to covering High School games for 2 years and then come back after you learn not to ask dumb questions about the ability to catch a football with one hand?"
Yeah, its pretty creative and applicable to game situations. Whoever came up with that drill first was likely pretty analytical in thinking how to solve the RB problem of ball security, when using a stiff arm.
-The notion that you want to create muscle memory of clamping down harder on the ball, when you take your other hand away to stiff arm is smart. The using of a resistance band like that to create resistance when the off hand comes away is just some good problem solving.
-a few years ago, O line coaches started getting away from using blocking shields for linemen to hit and instead started using these softer medicine balls. The flat pads dont simulate an apposing player as much as the med balls do and they are starting to use them all over football. I think LaCharles Bentley has his own brand of them he uses in his O line videos.
On Draft night, after Najee got off the phone with Tomlin, Najee's very next phone call was from... Snoop.
I’m really starting to love Najee Harris. He seems to have that Jerry Rice work ethic and obsession with the game. Historically when you combine that obsession with great physical ability you get a generational player.

Looking more and more like the Steelers drafted a home run.
