Right... they covered the need with Vince.
There's nothing to say we don't draft one... And when we do, there's no guarantee Vince even stays on the roster.

pretty much the whole world knew sutton could play before we drafted him .. if he had come out the year earlier may have been a late 1st round pick ...
Kenny Pickett is who I though he was .. Eagles didn't value him either , now he is a Stain at the Mistake by the Lake 3 teams in 4 years more of a shooting star than a superstar

Put me down for the bold red ... this kid has a chance to be a very good 3 down LB and I would love to get him in the Black-n- Gold

    On the topic of Bince...

    1) He had the most TFLs in his career (14), which was 6th best in the NFL.

    2) In the run-first AFC North, where you play the Ravens and the Browns twice each, having a run-stuffing ILB (backup or starter) is crucial.

and he creates pressure from the interior spot , you can not discount him coming at any given time if you are the opponent ... not he isnt TJ Watt and you do not have to game plan to stop him but you better not forget about him either ... as long as he is playing downhill he is great , if you ask him to operate out in space that is where the trouble begins the further he is from the LOS the less effective he becomes

    100%!!!

There was a stat from the last few seasons (I posted it, but I cannot find it right now)... but, basically, Bince had the most pressures and sacks from any ILB in the league. Not too shabby.

The difference is Williams gets his pressure from scheme, not from lining up and beating the man in front of him. It's the scheme that creates the pressure. Sure, some players are better at it than others with their feel for it and timing, but they are just a cog in the machine. TJ Watt lines up and the guy across from him knows exactly what he's trying to do. That opposing player knows the play that has been called. He knows the blocking scheme. He may even be getting help from a TE or a back.....and Watt finds a way to defeat that blocker regardless of how they scheme him. That's the difference.

I get what you're saying. He's a good blitzer. He has a good feel for it and he finishes when he gets there. But he is a player that needs the design of the scheme to be able to make those plays with designed blitzes that confuse the blocking schemes.

You are right about his limitations in space. They have always been there, and they always will. Those limitations are only going to increase with age.

With all that said, I'm glad he's back. He belongs with this team and is a great locker room guy. In one of the threads when they released him, I stated that people shouldn't be surprised if he came back.
