What actually appears to be happening right here in this country is much more straightforward and not really anything to laugh about. Namely, that you have a set of particular individuals attempting to change the overall hierarchy of things so that instead of a bunch of different groups with a bunch of different interests competing for influence, you have a political elite class that is permanently on top, and all the competing interests answer to them, not the other way around. A change in the pecking order that likely seems like same shit, different day, but is actually a fundamental change in the way government is run and for what reasons.

Who is trying to do all this? Mainly a bunch of angry Obama administration people and party insiders. Who benefits fron it? Themselves. Neither of those takes any huge leap of conjecture to see - I mean, they pretty much come right out and say here we are, and this is what we're doing.

To turn the government into a bully, for the benefit of those in government, is not a particularly novel or strange idea - people have been attempting it constantly, since the idea of government first existed. It is the rule rather than the exception. It is the case for probably the majority of the world right now at this very moment. It has happened in this country at the local or regional level.

Someone will ALWAYS be trying to take advantage of any given political system to do this. There is nothing special about the American system that means they will all just magically stop trying. This particular system might make it somewhat more difficult than in, say, Burkina Faso or Myanmar. But make no mistake, the instant a path to grabbing power and becoming the big bully becomes available, people will move in like vultures and try to do it. And now the liberals have raised their hands and said "That's us!" Honestly, you should be deeply ashamed to be associated with them in any way.
