In a sense, he is. They hired him last year as QB Coach with this exact move in mind. At least, that has always been what I believed.

Honestly, I think this was the plan last year. I feel like drafting someone like Mcfarland was a sign pointing this way. Just my two cents. So in essence, it was a hire from outside.

Canada seems like a guy who will bring fresh ideas to the offense. I do not know much about him other than I read those articles linked above, and that Mason did look much improved in the one game he played this year. I assume he worked closely with Matt Canada this whole past season. I also noticed Mason talking to Canada on the sidelines during this game.

Basically, I am OK with them giving Canada a chance at OC.....it appears Miami wanted him too, so there has to be something there with him that is appealing.

I don’t think one has to do with the other in this case. It is going to start with Ben’s decision followed by how they can make the $$’s work

I think Canada’s opinion of Rudolph will determine whether a QB is drafted.
